Desiree is amazing. The flavors she offers are to die for - have you ever had a lavender flavored cake? Not only is it pretty, it's delicious. You should try hers...even my picky 10 year old loved it. The insides are delightful, and somehow the outside is even better! Every. Single. Cake. she displays on social media is a true work of art. I'm convinced there isn't anything she can't do. Our wedding cake was a stunning show stopper that everyone loved eating. Her cake artistry aside, she's just a great human. So kind and willing to work with you to make your vision come to life. I can't say enough good things about her. Hire her!

It was really important to me to find a baker who could accommodate a gluten-free wedding cake so that I could enjoy it without getting sick. We did gluten-free tastings from 3 bakeries, and based on delivery alone we knew that Salted Sprinkle was the one. Due to COVID we had to get all our tastings either delivered or picked up, and the container from Salted Sprinkle was like straight out of a magazine - it was beautifully wrapped, with tissue paper and little labels on everything. It felt like opening up Christmas presents! Beyond that, the cakes were incredible. We literally did a second tasting just so we could eat more cake. Coming from someone who normally doesn't like cake, I don't know how much higher of a compliment I could give than going back for seconds and thirds. Desiree was really easy to work with for designing the look of the cake as well - I sent her a couple pictures of things I liked and explained what I liked about those images, and she came up with a really beautiful cake design that blew us away! We had so many people tell us how much they loved the cake, and a couple celiac guests who were thrilled that they could partake. We are absolutely going to buy more cakes and cupcakes from Salted Sprinkle in the future, I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the gluten-free cake is. If we could give her more than 5 stars we would.

I have ordered from her 2 times now ( her specialty cookies). They were both beautiful, and delicious. Thank you for making my occasions even sweeter.

Desiree made my husband and I the most beautiful wedding cake with gold flecks and garden roses that matched with the entire wedding theme... She even made sure the flowers on the cake matched my boutique!!! She also made us the most delicious cupcakes we'd ever had. They were so good, guests were loading up with them as the left. We had to salvage a few before we robbed of getting to taste them... lol! Desiree even helped me with my decorating and planning. I couldn't be more thankful for her and everything she did to make our wedding day so special. She truly is exceptionally gifted and passionate at what she does... She will treat your wedding day like she would her own and will see to it that it is nothing less than perfection!!!

I don't really understand what happened - when we met in person, it went well and the owner seemed to be on the same page with me, the cake tasting was delicious and seemed to be of quality work, but then when it came to the big day, we were completely shocked and disappointed.

I'll attach photos, but essentially I requested a three tier asymmetrical wedding cake, pale blue-ish color, with lace detailing, some flowers, and a decorated cameo-esque silhouette of bride and groom as the focal point on the cake. At one point in our exchange, the owner did ask if I wanted a dry-aged look, with raised edges, which was popular at the time, and I specifically declined, mentioning that it wasn't my style.

The day of the wedding comes around, no word from the owner, which I thought was okay because we were seemingly on the same page with the final design and plan. We see our cake during the reception and were obviously disappointed - the color was completely off, it was a teal color, she used the dry-aged look and raised edges despite my disapproval, which made the cake appear as if it were sinking, the lace detail was really nice, I did like that, but the "cameo" silhouette was basically a printed version that was too large and slapped on the side of the cake. It was embarrassing. Also, while the flavor was good and what we intended, the cake itself tasted somewhat stale, as if she did it a few days or more beforehand and froze it. There was no follow up following the wedding, no request for a review. I feel like she knew that she messed up and just walked away. As I was about to write this, I noticed that she is temporarily out of business, so that is not surprising. I wish that it didn't take me so long to write this review, to hopefully prevent others from most likely having a similar experience.
