It has taken me way to long to write this review because every time I try to write down what makes S.D. Events so amazing, I am at a loss for words. Hiring Sara and Alli was the best decision we made in the wedding planning process. From start to finish with the full planning process, we felt at ease. Sara listened to our vision and helped it come to life seamlessly. She was easy to communicate with and very down to earth. She kept us on track with planning and made our day special and flawless. I was worried about being stressed on our wedding day but they handled everything so perfectly, we were able to relax and enjoy our wedding. Again, I cannot put into words how amazing it was to work with them. We joked after our wedding that we were ready to do it again because the process was so amazing and easy. Sara and Alli are wonderful humans and just the biggest blessing in our life during the wedding planning process.

We absolutely recommend Sara! We worked with her for an 80-person wedding in September 2025. Sara was our day of coordinator -- but that undersells how helpful she also was in the final steps of the planning, especially in the last month. I doubt we could have managed all of the finer pre-wedding details without her organization and advice. And I absolutely know we wouldn't have managed wedding day without her. With Sara running the show, we were able to enjoy our day, knowing everything was in good hands.

Sara is awesome at her job. She is down-to-earth, smart and great at her job. She definitely saved us money and steered us toward the right vendors -- she knows all of them. Any problem I had or thought of, she anticipated and solved. She promptly responded to my questions, handled so many things I thought I would have to do and made sure we could really and truly enjoy our wedding day. She went to every Zoom meeting we had with every vendor so she could keep track of everything and made sure we had everything taken care of. I couldn't panic that something wasn't done because I knew Sara would have it under control. And while lots of wedding planners seemed to go for glitzy and glamorous, which is not really my vibe, Sara totally got that we wanted a fun, easy-going delight. We could have spent hours on the phone chatting and I feel like I gained a new friend, not just a wedding coordinator. She goes above and beyond. On our wedding day she even picked up the cakes from the store and delivered them. She handled all the moving parts, even noticing that there was one missing escort card that we were able to slip in before that guest noticed. She even helped me keep fresh as the evening went on because she had spray deodorant in her fanny pack. She was awesome and simply took so much stress out of the wedding planning process. To prepare for our wedding, we knew we would both be busy with our careers and needed someone to keep us on task and NOT STRESS OUT. Sara at SD Events was the most glorious wedding planner. There's no way we could've pull the most perfect day off without her. She has it all-documents to keep us tracked, reminders to book zoom calls, a list of vendors to pick from. Right down to a document we filled out with our 'initial thoughts' on photographers to help us narrow down the amazing talent she showed us. She also thinks of her clients' needs and focuses on their expectations. I told her she had creative freedom for our table settings - and she delivered so well, our photographer was inspired to create a nighttime flat lay! I genuinely can't say enough positive things about Sara. Hire her and tell her I said HI!

No, really - if you're looking for a coordinator, you can stop looking right here and send S.D. Events a message. They are unmatched - I went from not thinking we'd need a day-of coordinator to not knowing how we would have ever pulled off our wedding without them! Sara consistently went above and beyond for us - even though she was our day-of coordinator, she was available to help us out for the months leading up to the wedding, whether it was showing up for vendor calls and venue walkthroughs or answering our many, many questions via email. She took away so much of the pre-wedding stress in the last few weeks before the day, since we knew that she was in touch with all of our other vendors, and her handling the rehearsal made our families feel so at ease about being part of the ceremony. Our wedding was perfect - if a single thing went wrong behind the scenes I still have no idea about it, because Sara and Alli had it handled expertly. I can't possibly say enough good things about them - they're true wedding planning icons, and I'm so, so thankful for all their hard work and help!

We found out we were having a baby shortly after getting engaged and I knew I needed a wedding planner. I am BEYOND lucky to have found SD Events!! Sara was amazing through the entire process, had a roster of amazing vendors for me to consider, handled all the details and calls and meetings. She brought my (sometimes vague) vision to life! Great communication for the whole year that we worked together and I never felt like a bother when my mom-brain asked the same questions a million times :)

Sara and Alli came in clutch on wedding weekend as well! I knew I had nothing to worry about and they handled every surprise - from 35 year old moldy toasting flutes to an emergency bustle situation. They are both great at their job and just great people who I enjoyed getting to know and work with.

Sara is absolutely incredible. When I first hired her, I really had no idea where to start or what needed to be done. After one meeting she quickly provided me with vendors and timelines. For anything I was unsure or hesitant with, she was a call or email away. She completely understood my vision for the day and I couldn’t imagine her not being there for me throughout the process. When we chose rentals she was quick to help me decide what would be best for the day with what I had shared I was thinking. After every meeting with her, I wasn’t stressed about the wedding whatsoever.
For our rehearsal, her and Alli were so helpful and told us what could go wrong and what to do if it did.
The actual wedding day was amazing. Sara and Alli covered every little detail they knew we wanted and had a quick solution to any minor problem. I woke up the next day saying wow everyone told me something would go wrong and I can honestly say nothing did, I truly have Sara and Alli to thank for that!

We hired SD Events to help plan our 100-person spring wedding in Baltimore, and were absolutely BLOWN AWAY at the service they provided. Sara was an absolute pleasure to work with — helpful, knowledgeable, organized, responsive, and just a wonderfully friendly person to have by our sides as we planned the wedding. She took what could have been a very stressful process and made it easy and fun. On the day of, the wedding went off without a hitch thanks to Sara and her sister Alli (the other half of SD Events). We had the wedding of our dreams all thanks to them!

Sara and Allie are amazing! My husband and I felt very overwhelmed at the beginning of our engagement in terms of planning a wedding and Sara was able to provide a plan and a checklist that broke down each month into tasks. It made wedding planning much less confusing and she was really helpful in helping decide between vendors based on her experiences. Wedding day coordination was perfect, I didn't worry about a thing the day of, which is exactly how a bride wants to feel on her wedding day! Absolutely recommend their services to any engaged couple!

We used S.D. Events for partial planning at the Dye House and got so much more than we expected. As a type-A bride, I was beyond impressed with Sara’s organization, vast network, and ability to bring our vision to life. She kept us on track throughout the planning process, handled almost all the vendor coordination, and hooked us up with insider tips to save money along the way. Day-of she and Alli completely nailed it - every detail was taken care of and they even helped us plan a last minute parent dance without missing a beat. Our big day would not have been the same without Sara & Alli.
