We hired Rachel Kendall as our wedding planner and day-of coordinator for our wedding in June 2025, and it was truly one of the best decisions we made! Throughout the entire planning process, Rachel was professional, responsive, and an absolute joy to work with—kind, fun, and incredibly easygoing.

She was impressively organized and kept us on track with our planning timeline without ever making it feel overwhelming. She answered our many, many questions quickly and clearly, helped us find all of our vendors (every one of them turned out to be amazing), guided us through finalizing the timeline, and helped us figure out all the decor details. On the wedding day, Rachel was everything we could’ve hoped for in a coordinator. She had everything ready to go, handled last-minute hiccups (including unexpected rain) with total grace, and took charge of vendor coordination and set-up so we could focus on enjoying the day with our families. Our entire wedding party loved having her there—she kept everyone on schedule, calmly communicated throughout the day, and made sure everything ran flawlessly.

Rachel and her team were absolutely essential in helping make our 200-person wedding at THE LINE come together. From the get-go Rachel was extremely responsive and accessible. We met at the time that we decided to work together to go over broad logistics, and then at 8 weeks we hit the ground running. Leading up to the wedding not only did she help us figure out anything we had overlooked (sound vendors) but she also wrangled every vendor we had already selected. Rachel also has fantastic contacts and relationships in the industry that she did not hesitate to leverage on our behalf. At our walkthrough she made sure everyone was prepared with a printed agenda, floorplans, and worked EXCELLENTLY with our florist, band, THE LINE contact and photography team. On the day of the wedding her team was phenomenal. Her and two other staff members were on site with us all day to make sure that our schedule was followed to a tee. They covered every detail, large and small (including making sure our toastgivers had a drink in hand for their speeches). They did not miss a beat and were also incredibly upbeat. Their presence was noted in a very positive way, not in a way that detracted from our day or created any stress. They actually are the reason the day went off without a hitch and we had the BEST DAY EVER. If you are working on a wedding in the DMV area, are a queer couple, are getting married at THE LINE, are getting married at all and are looking to work with the best planning team ever - Rachel and her team are YOUR PEOPLE!!!

I honestly do not know where to begin when recommending Rachel Kendall Events, especially our planner, Caroline Calleja. My partner and I definitely knew what we wanted for the most part when it came to our wedding, but some things we did not really have an opinion on or hadn't really planned out. Caroline helped us figure out every last detail without ever feeling overbearing. She is a genius at reading a room and anticipating needs; She is so incredibly good at her job.
When it came time for the actual event, Caroline helped everything flow to perfection. She honored our vision for the evening and helped everything run more smoothly than we could have imagined, despite a quirky space, friends and family who only sometimes followed directions, and the adrenaline of a wedding. She always seemed calm and happy to be there.
So in short, we definitely recommend Rachel Kendall Events. While my partner and I are fortunate that we haven't suffered from the post-wedding blues, the closest we have gotten is saying how we are bummed that we won't hear from our planner anymore! We are so grateful that we trusted such an important event in such capable hands :) Thank you!!

Where do I begin? My now husband and I had Rachel as our coordinator for our May 2025 wedding. I like to be very hands on but I knew I would need help with wedding day coordination since I wouldn't get to be a part of setting up and such. We met with multiple coordinators during the wedding planning process and knew Rachel was the perfect fit for us from the start.

Rachel is incredibly organized and does not miss a single detail. She provided us a space to upload all of our wedding decor and photos of decor to keep organized. We chose to go with the wedding management package and it was perfect for us. Rachel stepped in right when things started to really kick off.

Our wedding was at a campground which is very much a summer camp and not a wedding venue, so it took a loooooot of work. The day before the wedding was very busy but Rachel was there to help keep us all organized and on track. Since the camp ground isn't a typical wedding venue, we had to bring in just about everything. Rachel did an awesome job at managing all the vendors and making sure every detail was thought about for us to have a successful wedding. With it being outside, and it being a rainy spring, she made sure we were prepared for anything. It rained a good bit our wedding weekend but Rachel was sure to make sure our vision was perfect and everything went as planned.

On the wedding day, she was there to make sure my husband and I didnt have to stress or worry about a thing. Her and her team were there for us every step of the way and they were sure to make us feel special. I got so many comments about how great Rachel was and how she always had a smile on her face. I even had a friend who was recently married herself tell me she wished she would have had Rachel on board for her wedding.

Long story short, if you're looking for a coordinator that has an immaculate eye for detail and is incredibly organized, Rachel will not disappoint!

I truly cannot recommend Rachel and her team enough!! From the moment we had our first inquiry call, I could feel so at ease knowing Rachel would have everything under control. And she absolutely did. She completely understood our vision and immediately had great ideas. From beginning to end, Rachel thought of literally everything. Our wedding was actually perfect and nothing went wrong, or at least I don’t if anything did because Rachel took care of it. She is the kindest and brought such a calm and professional energy to the day. Both of our families can’t stop raving about her, and we have some challenging personalities. She took the best care of us and I know she will do the same for you! Our wedding was two days ago and I already miss talking with Rachel. Do yourself a favor and hire her!!

We loved Rachel so much and don’t know what we would have done without her! She thought of everything, including when the forecast looked stormy a week in advance and she coordinated a rain plan alternative with all our vendors. She also provided some excellent vendor recommendations that we ended up booking. Rachel was the first vendor we hired about a year out from our wedding, and I'm so glad we did. With her Wedding Management Package, we did the initial vendor booking and planning ourselves with Rachel's expert guidance, and she took over everything about 2-3 months out so we didn't have to worry about anything as the day got closer.

I had a pretty specific vision for our wedding and was nervous about how it would all come together and if it would work out the way I envisioned, but Rachel took care of everything and made me feel so at ease and confident in the weeks before our wedding day. We also have a lot of strong somewhat difficult/negative personalities in our family and Rachel managed them with ease.

On the day of, everything ran so smoothly and we were able to have so much fun without worrying about the details. Most events usually have a hiccup or two, but if there were any I had no idea! Rachel and her team made sure we got to eat throughout the night, always had our drinks full, and even made sure my best friend who recently had a baby had a private place to pump during the reception.

We are so happy with how everything turned out and can't stop talking about what a perfect fun night we had. Thank you Rachel!
