Scott and Marie were amazing to work with! They're able to take the most beautiful photos with a natural flow that made taking photos with them effortless! They were able to fulfill every request we made and had great ideas of their own for such a fun and beautiful wedding album! Buckle up for the longest review about the best wedding photography team a girl could dream of!

The backstory: We were on an extremely tight budget for a wedding we weren’t even sure we wanted to have (we wanted the marriage, just not the wedding chaos!) and we dragged our feet until the last minute to secure all the things we needed. When I started reaching out to photographers a few months before the wedding, we realized most of them were way out of our league financially. We found a few within our budget but they were all either extremely busy, booked, or just never responded to our first inquiries. I was starting to panic. I’m a kindergarten teacher, and one day on a phone conference with a parent, she mentioned she was exhausted “shooting two weddings in one weekend.” I said “HOLD UP. You photograph weddings?! I’m desperate for a photographer for six hours on July 12th! It’s last minute and we’re kinda poor and it’s going to be miserably hot and at two locations and I have no clue what I’m doing but please tell me you can help!”

Marie sent me her website and I saw their work… WOW. They had the best photos I’d seen yet, their price point was our EXACT budget, and best of all, they were free to shoot that day. Cue all the happy tears.

On the day of our wedding, in the middle of a July heat wave, Scott & Marie showed up and started taking photos. Our wedding started 45 minutes late. The only directions I had given them were a short list of pictures we wanted to make sure we snapped, and that I wanted more pictures of our people than of anything else. We were an awkward couple - Hay sweated and I laughed through most of the photos. But Scott & Marie put us, and everyone, right at ease. They made us feel so comfortable. They read each others’ minds and worked seamlessly. They praised us and the lighting and the photos as they went and I actually felt like a beautiful bride despite the heat and the bugs and the fake lashes. Marie even reminded me that I had forgotten my bouquet for the ceremony but to grab it for our reception entrance! We left the farm to head to our reception venue, where the next three hours were an absolute blur. As we navigated trying to eat, dance, and visit with every guest, I barely noticed Scott and Marie in the background unless they pulled us aside to borrow our rings or my bouquet or to take a few more pictures outside at dusk.

Imagine my surprise when I received our sneak peeks literally two days later. And not just a few, but over a hundred photos, already edited and just stunning. They snapped moments I didn’t even know had happened. I sat on the beach, honeymooning and sobbing as I realized that they had given me more than I could’ve imagined. Russell-Killen Photography managed to freeze time on the happiest day of my life so far. They gave me physical and tangible evidence of how deeply loved we are by our people. They captured each guest’s personality and beauty in single, still images that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. And when we or our loved ones or anyone stranger scrolling through sees these images, I truly believe the purest love between my husband and I can be seen and felt.

Six weeks later, I’m clicking through the entire finished album and wondering how I’ll ever find the wall space to display all the images I want to look at every single day. For anyone who understands what it’s like when photos are all you have left, you appreciate why I’m waxing poetic about wedding pictures. No number would rate them high enough, and no paragraphs would explain how grateful I am for this photography team and the treasure they’ve given us. Marie and Scott, thank you doesn’t cover it. Yall are simply the best.

Scott & Marie were our photographers for our November 2nd wedding and they were incredible to work with! They knew all of the best spots at our venue and have a really strong eye for light & composition in their photography. They sent us over 200 sneak peeks within just a few days of our event and every single photo was absolutely gorgeous. Looking through the gallery is like being transported right back to our joyous and special day!!! We would highly recommend working with them!

Marie and her husband are a great team! They made the photography at my wedding fun! It was nice to have them because while Marie was taking pictures of the bridal party her husband could take pictures of the groomsmen etc and it sped things up. They are kind and funny! 10/10 recommend them!

Marie and Scott are the best in the area! They totally captured our vision and style of photography we wanted. They kept us laughing and smiling during our photo sessions.
