Swati and I first discovered Royal Events through a wedding I went to in 2018, before we had started planning our wedding. Both of us were very impressed with their music selection and decided to keep them in mind when we planned ours. After going through the wedding planning/execution process, I can comfortably say that Maulik and his team are masters of their craft in every way. They displayed impeccable professionalism, were easy to work with, played great music, and were flexible with timing. Both Swati's family and mine can be harsh critics but they had nothing but great things to say about their experience with the music, lighting, and effects. In my opinion, the hallmark of excellence for a vendor is the ability to flawlessly execute as expected with minimal interaction with the bride and groom. They not only did that but they also worked seamlessly alongside the other vendors.

Maulik and his team were absolutely phenomenal in keeping the crowd going. They played bumping music to keep everyone on the dance floor which is what a wedding reception is all about. Just make sure you tell them what you expect during the reception. If there is one I thing that I could do over, I would have let them know to take more music requests. Overall they were phenomenal. They also provided the vinyl wrap which looked amazing as well.

I hired Royal Events for my wedding June of 2019 which was held in Raleigh, North Carolina. I had a traditional Indian (Muslim- Hyderabadi) wedding. Although my fiancé at the time and I are more American and less reserved our families are very traditional and conservative . We wanted a “litttt wedding” haha but still wanted to be respectful of our elders so the type of DJ I had was very important to me! I received their contact from my wedding coordinator Dipti who spoke very highly of them. I was a few short weeks from my wedding and had not booked a DJ. After speaking with Maulik who was extremely accommodating and flexible with me given this was a last minute booking. He traveled to NC with his partner I believe who is his brother and together they truly did an amazing job. We weren’t able to get on calls prior to the wedding but they remained calm and collected and went with the flow mehndi night when my family kept giving them last minute performances to play !!! Despite the chaos they were currently nice to all of my family members and in laws who were the primary folks dealing with them since me and my husband were too busy being well .. the bride and groom! They played great music a mix of old school and new school Bollywood , some instrumental, and American pop/ hip-hop new music that was out that summer , which is exactly what I wanted! They spinned late night for my mehndi and reception night and kept the crowd going. Although the mehndi night was only girls they were extremely accepting of our religious restrictions and had no problem being behind a curtain when the ladies were throwing it down on the dance floor. I was actually shocked at how much fun everyone had on the dance floor at my wedding because I thought there would be no dancing but Royal Events made it happen for me and for that I am forever grateful . They truly were instrumental in giving me a “litttt wedding” just like I had always dreamed of :)

We booked Royal Events for a family wedding, which consisted of three events— haldi, Sangeet, and reception. They contacted us well in advance to understand the taste of music our guests would like, and followed through with it. They provided great MC’ing skills and got a lot of guests moving on the dance floor— even the ones who sit and stare. There were several impromptu announcements and song requests, but they quickly adapted and followed through on them all. They were very receptive to instructions and our likes/ dislikes. Their entire team has been extremely professional throughout the events, and very on point with our music taste. The sound system was incredible, and the bass/ treble balance was just right! Our guests enjoyed the events thoroughly. If you’re in the market for a quality DJ, be sure to get in touch with them. They’ve been extremely pleasant to work with throughout the events, and we hope to work with them for future family events. Special shout out to DJ Maulik!

Maulik and his team at Royal Events DJ are really amazing. They are very easy to with, creating dance mixes before the wedding, accommodating a professional singer into the event flow, and working diligently to make sure everything is setup and ready to go well ahead of time.
