Rooted Lounge

Rooted Lounge is a bar, restaurant, and wedding venue located in the River Valley area of Higganum, near Killingworth, Connecticut. Couples will enjoy the industrial botanical vibes of this warehouse-style venue. Owned by an event designer, the space was specifically designed for maximum design creativity. Couples will be able to easily make the space their own. With an arcade room, this is the perfect space for a child-friendly wedding or just for the fun and young at heart. Rooted Lounge has an extensive craft cocktail and mocktail menu that can be customized to each individual couple.

On your wedding day, you're welcome to rent out Rooted Lounge and welcome up to 150 loved ones. You can bring in your own decor, or work with the on-site florist to craft the perfect venue design. Exchange vows in front of the cozy fireplace, then visit the beautiful state park across the street for a romantic wedding photoshoot. The talented events team at Rooted Lounge will work with you closely to ensure your vision is met, and they're happy to offer vendor recommendations. Several bar packages are available according to your needs, with a curated wine menu, cold beer, refreshing sodas and lemonade, mocktails, and more. You can even avail of a coffee or herbal tea bar. For food, treat your loved ones to a wide range of appetizers, with delicious buffet entrees like BBQ pulled pork and baked ziti.
