I got married on one of the snowiest/iciest days the year had seen thus far. Because of the icy roads, I was behind schedule in arriving to the wedding venue. I showed up, frantic and worried if the key players would be able to make it on schedule — and I was pleasantly surprised to find that Ron had already set up and had been shooting B-roll before I even arrived. Ron left HOURS before he was scheduled to be at the venue, just to make sure he made it safely and on time.
I knew Ron professionally before we hired him to be our wedding videographer. The fact that I was already familiar with his work ethic and attention to detail were what made me confident in trusting him to document one of the most special days of our lives. I had so much to worry about the day of the wedding, but thankfully, the videography was not one of them — Ron made sure to ask necessary questions that pertained to how he could shoot at the venue (like if it was OK if he hid a microphone here), but he was obviously well-versed in videoing weddings that he didn't need to ask me about every little thing.
I had so many compliments that Ron was so discreet, and I personally never noticed him during the ceremony either — but by looking at the footage you would think he was right in front of us. He stood back like a ninja but captured all my favorite memories from multiple angles. He nailed the shots of my husband crying while saying his vows, my dad choking up during our first dance, my brother and I dancing for the first time EVER, my husband's family laughing together — all moments I want to remember and rewatch for the rest of my life.
I've seen many of Ron's photos and videos just from working with him on a daily basis, and the quality is all excellent. I've never seen him present a photo that has a blown-out highlights or an off-focus subject. And of course it goes without saying that he'll make sure you're the center of attention and displayed in the best light possible!
