The Rock County Historical Society was a beautiful venue for our ceremony and reception. The staff was very responsive and eager to please. The only downside was the fact that we were the first big wedding to be held at this location, which meant there was a definite learning curve for all of us. In the end though it was a beautiful wedding and a magnificent location.

Unclear and unresponsive

They will not provide any information regarding pricing or logistics before providing a tour, vaguely and very briefly stating that pricing is based on a "variety of factors." However since I am out of state I am only able to tour on weekends. They are not open on Sundays. They only offered a 8am Saturday showing, then eventually a 9am Saturday showing. When I have made efforts to communicate how challenging this would be for us, including driving in the dark and the expense of a hotel. They have repeatedly reinforced their schedules and casually informed me that "it should only take a half hour," as if the trip would still be no big deal for us... They have gone so far as to suggest we go when it's closed, and take a look from the outside. However with repeated questions, they still won't give me an idea of pricing before we go to that length to see it. I have asked once more when the next available weekend appointment would be, but they have simply stopped offering/replying.
