We absolutely LOVED working with Richard throughout the entire process from planning, the engagement shoot, to the day of the wedding! Richard is wonderful at keeping things fun while keeping to the timeline to make sure all moments are captured. He was easy to communicate with and promptly replied to questions even after our big day. We were very pleased with both our engagement and wedding photos. I cannot thank Richard enough for our wedding photos. My husband and I got married at Silverado Resort on 7/1/22 and had the pleasure of working with Richard for our big day and for our engagement photos. We got to know his shooting style during our engagement session and it made our wedding day an absolute breeze. He took so many candid shots and incredible detail shots of every piece of our day. We didn’t have a videographer but through Richard‘s photos, we can remember every moment. Richard was fantastic with communication every step of the way and had amazing advice and recommendations with his experience. Richard is AMAZING!! I absolutely love all of my photos from my wedding. My husband and I flew to Napa for an elopement so I was a bit nervous since i'm from out of state. Richard was easy to communicate with the whole time and made me feel so comfortable. The day of of the wedding he was helpful and made sure all of our last min details were finished. He even finished editing our photos early for us so we would have them ready in time for our reception back home which was super nice.

We didn't meet Richard until the day of our event and we immediately loved him. He's kind and warm and helped make the day perfect.

After having booked our venue, Richard was one of the first vendors we contacted and booked. He was extremely helpful and cooperative from start to finish. We were very excited for all the ideas Richard had, including locations for our engagement pictures. If there was ever an idea we had in mind, Richard seemed to know where and how to take the perfect shot to accommodate our ideas. During our wedding, he was extremely patient with not just us, but our families as weddings can be chaotic with many moving pieces. Communication with him was always extremely good. If we ever needed to contact him, he was always very quick to respond. Even now, almost a year after our wedding, we can still reach out to him with questions or requests. He has worked with many wedding vendors in the Napa area which makes coordinating much easier. We would highly recommend Richard, not just for wedding pictures, but for any occasion where you would want a high quality, low maintenance photographer. He did an amazing job for us and we are extremely happy with the outcome.

Richard was very professional and helpful in helping us choose the wedding photo package that was right for us. He took the time to have very detailed phone calls with me about his whole process and what to expect on the day of so that I would feel comfortable. He gave us a photography timeline for the day of, which made everything easy and smooth. On our wedding day, we were able to stick to the timeline and everything ran on time. The whole process was exactly what I expected, and exactly how he described it. My husband and I felt very comfortable when taking the pictures. We just listened to exactly what he told us to do and let him work his magic with the photos!

Richard was able to get us our photos back within 6 weeks of our wedding, which was very reasonable and exactly how long he said it would take. The pictures of my husband and I turned out so beautiful and amazing! We could not be happier with them. He sent us a file with over 600 edited photos to choose from, so it was very hard to choose from so many great photos. Aside from the normal couple/wedding party/family photos, Richard also took a lot of photos at our reception. We noticed he took a photo of every couple and/or group at the reception at their tables. This was a nice surprise to us, and something we really appreciated. We are happy to have an album with all the special people who attended our wedding!

Richard also offers different kind of wedding video services. We were able to take advantage of this and received a beautiful wedding video that we can keep forever!

Overall, we highly recommend Richard. He is wonderful to work with and gave us wonderful memories of the best day of our lives!

Booking with Richard was the best decision we ever made. He is amazingly talented, extremely knowledgeable, helpful and organized. Great photos will be one less thing you will have to worry or stress over once you book with Richard Wood Photography. He guided us throughout the process on things we would have otherwise been clueless about as far as photos are concerned! He helped with final products like thank you cards with printed pictures, Save the Dates, and so many other items that would have otherwise slipped my mind. His work is amazing and he actually cares about his final product and keeping his clients happy. He is patient and will take 1000 different pictures of the same pose if that is what makes you happy. Finding a photographer that you feel comfortable around is a big deal, bigger than you may thing and Richard made both my Fiance and I feel like we had known him forever. Doing silly things (that most grooms would't want to do) like giggling, kissing, posing almost came natural with his guidance. He is a true professional.

Richard is the best. We decided not to have a videographer, because we really just wanted raw footage of the ceremony, speeches, and dances. That made getting a good photographer one of our top priorities. Richard was one of the photographers recommended by our venue and our planner. After looking through websites, we talked with him and one other recommended photographer. He exuded professionalism and laid out his usual methods for photographing a wedding. He also had a really inexpensive engagement shoot option and whenever he finishes with the photos, they are all yours to keep and use however you'd like. He put our engagement photos on dropbox only a couple weeks after the shoot and was ready with hundreds of photos from the wedding less than a month afterward. Richard is great to work with and fun to have at the event. Plus, the photos are beautiful. Richard really has an eye and captured our day wonderfully. I would definitely recommend.

Richard is professional, kind, responsive and detail oriented. We were able to meet with Richard before our wedding to discuss all of the details relating to our wedding day. Richard really listened to us and he had wonderful ideas.

We received our CD of about 675 photos in the mail from Richard this Friday and they are truly breathtaking! He is an artist and captured every moment beautifully.
