Katie was amazing! With Roche Harbor’s coordinating and execution staff already included in our venue fee, we wondered if we needed to hire a planner as well…Katie was 100% worth it! We chose the Partial Planning option and couldn’t have been happier with it. Being local to the island and having planned many weddings at Roche Harbor, Katie’s knowledge of timing, logistics, considerations and organization were invaluable to our wedding planning and execution there. Her advice on which details to sweat vs not sweat, how to coordinate shuttles to get 75 guests from Friday Harbor to the wedding and back at the end of the night, and how to structure/prioritize our timeline were extremely helpful. Also, her questionnaires brought up many things we hadn’t thought about before, but were critical in making the day run smoothly — like who is in charge of getting coffees and lunch for the wedding party when they’re getting ready?? We felt so relaxed on our wedding day because we had everything set up with Katie in advance and she executed our vision so wonderfully. My husband and I cannot imagine our wedding without Katie! During the planning process, she was incredibly helpful and provided valuable feedback about vendors, the venue, and other tips/tricks. She took so much stress of of us the months leading up to our wedding. As for the wedding day, I would recommend all couples have a professional planner/coordinator to execute the timeline. Katie coordinated among all of our vendors, helped wrangle family members for photos, and even figured out how to get a back up generator when the electricy went out at our reception. Katie at Revel went above and beyond for our wedding day last July. We had a small 28 person wedding on San Juan Island with a ceremony at Lime Kiln and a reception at the Friday Harbor House. We used local vendors and everyone on island already knew Katie and the day flew by flawlessly. We wondered if having a day-of coordinator would make a difference with such a small group, but it REALLY did!! She timed the day down to the minute and perfectly guided us along without being pushy in any way. Honestly it was the best money we spent that day. I can’t imagine pulling it all off without her. She did everything from collecting chairs after the ceremony, cueing speeches and dances, setting up the reception with our special items, allowing us to get more photos because she managed the Jolly Trolley leave time, fixing speakers and music…the list goes on.
