About

A Refuge On the Mountain Wedding is a specialized and individualized wedding officiant business based out of Sevierville, Tennessee. Pastor Robbie (Robert) Groover is a Commissioned Pastor, Evangelist, and a fully Ordained Minister. Ceremonies may be traditional Christians as well as customized to fit your dreams. He will work with you to come up with the perfect wedding for your perfect day.

Pastor Robbie looks forward to endorsing your love for one another, promoting the unity that marriage brings, but above all else celebrating you and this relationship. As a wedding officiant, I will travel to the venue of your choice. Whether it is an outdoor event, in a cabin, or a chapel.

Wedding Services Offered

Pastor Robbie offers many types of Christian services, customized to fit you and your dream. Unity elements (Candle, Sand or Rope) can be added to any marriage ceremony. Also, performs Vow renewals. Most services are under 30 minutes. Pre-Marital counseling is available for couples, so this marriage can begin on a solid foundation.

Robbie Groover pastor at Andrew and Alyssa’s wedding

What a great pastor to have at the wedding! He was real, honest, professional, funny and spoke the Word in a beautiful way. Everyone enjoyed the wedding. His thoughts about woman from man’s rib-side by side really resonated with us. So glad Robbie Groover and his wife came to officiate at the wedding.The people I have spoken to who were at the wedding agree that it was a blessing to have them with us today.

Best Officiant in TN!

We loved Pastor Robbie! Not only did he take the time to get to know us before the wedding, he even worked some of our story into his ceremony. He was so kind and listened to us on how we'd like to stick with a non-denominational ceremony. Pastor Robbie chose the most beautiful passage to read as well. He was so so great!

Quaint Simple Wedding

We just wanted a simple ceremony with the two of us. We choose a venue… by the River. We love nature and wild life… ducks and geese were among us :) Rev. Groover’s choice of scripture and vows were perfect for defining our beliefs and commitment to each other.

Best officiant

We met Pastor Robbie through wedding wire, and we couldn’t have been happier. He did premarital counseling with us as well as officiate our wedding. He was so helpful and everyone loved his ceremony, I would definitely recommend.

Absolutely Amazing!!!

We had an experience we will never forget it was very memorable. Everything went just as we expected it to Mr. Robbie is phenomenal and he made us feel so comfortable like we knew him forever. I’d recommend him to anyone that is looking for a amazing officiant.

Pastor Robbie was great! We had some particular stuff we wanted & he was very easy going about it. He was well spoken ( which was very important to us!) Did a great job with communication & he not only showed up, but he was right on time!

Great Man. Great Service.

He’s amazingly patient. Very kind and is willing to talk about anything you wish. I didn’t feel rushed nor did I feel like just another customer. He’s just really good at what he does and we both were extremely pleased with his service. Recommended!!

Amazing Pastor

Pastor Robbie was the absolute best. Not only did he save us two weeks before our wedding when our previous pastor backed out. But he also gave us a memorable service that our guest still talk about! Highly recommend.

Wonderful Experience

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pastor Robbie! My husband and I got to know Pastor Robbie well during our premarital counseling sessions that we wanted to have, and he opened our eyes to many things in both our relationship with each other and with God. It is something we will always talk about as this has helped us grow as a couple. Our ceremony was absolutely amazing. Pastor Robbie spoke about all the things that both my husband and I would have wanted him to. It was wonderful and something our family still speaks about as well.
