My husband, Jackson, and I are so thankful for Ranjani! She traveled to Tennessee to photograph our wedding in May and we couldn't be more happy with how she took care of us and the photos that she took! Things were busy "behind the scenes," but she made sure that I didn't get overwhelmed with people and cameras in my face during the "getting ready" stage. I usually feel awkward in front of a camera, but her gentle direction and guidance helped me feel comfortable and enjoy the process! We also knew the general area that we wanted to have our first look and wedding party photos before the ceremony, but didn't know exactly where the best spot would be, and she took it upon herself to scout out the perfect place, with lots of green and lots of light, making the colors in the photos pop out beautifully. Our first look felt private and intimate, and then once she began the portraits her directions helped us feel and look at ease, rather than feel stiff and awkward. And we had a lot of fun! Even the groomsmen got into it. ;) She really captured our family dynamics in the family portraits as well, even many of the goofy and candid moments. During the ceremony, she got photos from every angle, including the precious moment when Jackson saw me coming down the aisle, and the reactions of my siblings who were in the wedding party. She even thought to take pictures of our parents as they sat in the congregation, and several photos from the balcony, which showed us how many people had come to support us, especially since the crowd honestly turned into a bit of a blur that day! After the ceremony she took us to another spot in a field close to the church and took some quick sunset portraits, which turned out beautifully, and then back to the reception where she got so many fun action shots of the dancing and toasts. She was fast and efficient as well, and I definitely think it was her presence which helped the day flow so smoothly. We appreciate you so much, Ranjani! Thank you!

Ranjani was a JOY to work with on our special day. She was clear and communicative, and a perfect blend of sweet, friendly, and professional. She also had a lot of great advice leading up to the day. She even brought a little "bride emergency kit" with all kinds of last-minute toiletries etc. which I thought was very sweet. We couldn't imagine the day without her and recommend her without hesitation!

She has much of the necessary information on her site, and I'd certainly suggest looking at her work before booking, but for people who don't know how to look for a photographer, I would say ask as many questions as it takes.

After inquiring about her services, I think most people will be set at ease about the whole experience. She's very professional and assuring, and as someone who didn't know what to look for, I can say it was relieving to have her work for us, because as the process went on, I realized there were too many things we would never have thought about. That lady had it totally under control. It's important to choose workers and helpers who won't be helpless on the day of an event (she shot our wedding) and it was abundantly clear after speaking with her that she knew her business. Just a conversation about the process can really set you at ease.

I cannot say enough about the care she takes in planning for events. She was incredibly respectful of our wishes, and made sure to ask about whether certain shots were even allowed in order to best honor our day, and also get us the best shots possible. Talking with her through our time-line actually helped us plan the majority of our wedding day, which was a big stress-reliever! She takes charge just enough to get the job done well without mowing anyone over. She will listen to every concern, reassure you when you ask the same questions 28 times, prepare for your forgetfulness (because she's worked with frazzled brides before!), and still show up with a smile on her face, ready to go, and ready to be flexible when you realize you forgot to tell her to take extra pictures of your grandparents.

And then, she gives you really pretty pictures.

My wedding photos are my favorite part of my wedding. Ranjani captured some great moments and left out some not-so-great moments. She also worked well with my very large and very loud family. We highly recommend Ranjani!!!

Ranjani was our wedding photographer and she did such an incredible job and made the process both easy and enjoyable! She is a very talented photographer who knows how to navigate events and capture the best moments. It would be a mistake not to hire her.

Ranjani and I have been friends for many years and when I was getting married, I knew I wanted her to take my engagement photos. She is so good at capturing the happiness in a couple's eyes. I love the lighting and setting she chooses too. Her images are all very clear and simply beautiful. She really captured the love and joy we have as a couple. I loved every shot! After looking at (literally) every single page of photographers on Yelp, I chose Ranjani for our engagement photos. I loved how her photos looked as though they belonged in magazines and how she framed her shots. She was professional and very easy to work with. She listened to our concerns (e.g. Can you help me look slimmer?) and delivered a beautiful product. I'm so glad that we chose her and I look forward to using her again!

Ranjani is fantastic- handled panicking mother of the bride on wedding day, didn't blink when I fainted in the engagement photo session, got real smiles out of my fiancé- who almost enjoyed taking photos (a difficult task indeed) and captured moments through our wedding that were precious. Our photos are beautiful - and we didn't get stressed out having them taken. Emails will take e a few days to be returned but that is not a big deal when you get these kinds of photos.
