Leading up to the wedding we did two engagement sessions, one being at our Muay Thai gym! That session was so much fun and definitely helped us get camera-comfortable before the big day. The first meeting we had was very casual and was geared toward viewing their portfolio and getting to know each other. My wife and I fell in love with the photography, and we immediately clicked personally with Rafael and Veronica. Our engagement photos were taken in Fredericksburg where we got engaged, and we had a blast spending time with Rafael and Veronica. It was like taking a vacation with friends, and when it came time for taking the photos it was all professional and they helped this awkward couple take AMAZING pictures. Through the magic of FB I ran across a couple of shared pictures from Rafael Badillo Photography. I remember thinking… “I just found my wedding photographer!” I believe this was around 2013. So now I had my photographer… problem was I wasn’t even engaged then. Fast forward a couple of years and surprise, I’m engaged and planning a wedding. I told my fiancé I already had the photographer, but in the spirit of planning we met with a few others as well as Rafa and Vero. From our first meeting we felt so comfortable with them, they weren’t bombarding with a hard sales pitch, stacks of portfolios and package options. Instead they wanted to get to know us and our vision for our wedding. They didn’t just want to get a sale they wanted to build a relationship. It was a no brainer, we booked them for our engagement and wedding. And we are so incredibly grateful to them for doing the most amazing job at capturing our relationship at our engagement session and our love the day of our wedding. We always knew they were going to do a great job but we were still in awe when we received our pictures. I met Veronica at a bridal show and completely fell in love with her and her husband's work and immediately told my fiance all about them. About a week later my husband and I met with both Rafael and Veronica and instantly had a connection. We talked for almost an hour getting to know each other before we even got down to business. They are the sweetest, most down-to-earth couple which made it so easy to be ourselves around them. During our engagement session we felt like we were just hanging out with old friends because we felt that comfortable and the pictures clearly show it. We even went out to dinner with them afterwards and really spent time getting to know the people who would capture the happiest day of our lives. Rafa and Vero have a way about them that sets you at ease and allows them to capture the true and honest emotions of the moment. On our wedding day, you wouldn't have even noticed they were there - they never interfered, never got in the way, and never made themselves stand out, yet they captured every moment. They took the most amazing pictures of every detail we worked so hard on for the year prior and captured every aspect of the day. I can't say enough good things about this husband and wife team. First of all, they are adorable!! They are very reasonably priced (including the prints). He really has an eye and I am so in love with all of my pictures. He took some amazing shots of my dog, who was not cooperative. The editing and the low light pictures are my favorites! I live and work in Oak Cliff and my wedding was going to be in Oak Cliff so I really wanted a local photographer. He and his wife also live and work here and so I immediately felt like they were perfect for the tone I wanted to create at my wedding. I am told they travel so even if you are looking for a destination wedding or engagement shoot, still do yourself the favor of meeting with these two!!

If I could give him more than 5 starts - I would. Rafael and his wife, Veronica, are amazing! From the first meeting, we knew they were the right choice. They were able to capture every single moment and emotion in a way that we can relive it over and over. It's been a little over two months and we still laugh and cry every time we look at our photographs. Everything else from the wedding is gone - the food is gone, the drinks are gone, the flowers are dead, the dress is in shreds but the photographs are something we'll have forever. We couldn't be happier to have had the opportunity to work with Rafael and Veronica on the most important day of our lives. The photographs speak volumes of their talent but their work ethic is impeccable - anything for the perfect shot! Some of the images are unbelievable. They are true artists and we are so thankful to them for allowing us to relive our wedding day over and over again.
