If there is one piece of advice I can pass along to future brides it is to BOOK RACHEL KATE PHOTOGRAPHY ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!! The entire wedding process is exciting but can be very stressful as well. Early on I picked the top three things that were most important to me for my own wedding, photography was on that list. I did countless hours of research and wasn’t loving what I saw and everyone seemed to be very overpriced in my opinion for what I was seeing... until I came across Rachel. From the moment I saw her work on her website, I knew I had to have her be a part of my big day. THIS WOMAN IS INCREDIBLE. I don’t know how many times I can say this in this review but she is beyond amazing. Not only is her work fabulous but she is fabulous. Our wedding pictures are absolutely stunning – I have had random people send me messages inquiring about our wedding photography. I cannot thank this woman enough for all that she did to make our wedding day the best day of our lives. I wish I could carry her around in my pocket on a daily basis – her personality shines which allows you to shine on your big day! Side note: My husband was a pain about wedding details and he ADORED Rachel and says she is the best he has ever seen. She is so professional yet so personable which is the perfect blend for an important aspect of your wedding day. WE LOVE YOU RACHEL!!!!!!

We hired Rachel Buckley for our daughter's wedding in Boston recently and it was one of the best decisions we made! As a couple of the other brides said, you are foolish not to hire Rachel as your wedding photographer! Simply put - she is the very best at what she does! She can go with the flow and does not pressure you to do anything you don't want picture wise. My husband and I did not want a million and one pictures and she really respected that. We got married in January so there was very little light after we got out of mass, but that did not matter - Rachel pulled through in a HUGE way. She captured some amazing shots of the night lights and the city - I could literally stare at the pictures all day!

A friend recommended that we use her for our wedding. To say that I owe this friend big time is an understatement. If you check out her website and blog, that alone should give you enough proof that she's talented and will give you the best pictures possible. What her website/blog doesn't relay is how caring, kind, and beautiful (inside and out) she truly is. She will make you laugh for days (which is great when she's trying to snap some pics of you) and she's just an amazing woman.

How it all went down for me:
1. Initial Call: She ran me through what she does as well as two timelines (one without a first look and one with a first look) and then left it up to me to figure out what I wanted. This was beyond helpful and allowed me to mold my day.
2. Emails to follow-up: She answered EVERY question, EVERY email, and even met us in the middle of winter (in ten feet of snow) just so we could meet in person before the big day (we opted to not do engagement photos).
3. Leading up to the wedding: She's so relaxed and in touch...I tried to relax and she totally helped me achieve that.
4. The wedding: It felt like spending the afternoon with a friend. She captured amazing photos (and according to my husband the second photographer, Matt, was a blessing - he helped with the bowties, and was "a real cool dude" to hang out - which was great because my husband was not super excited to have someone take pictures of him getting ready but apparently having Matt around was a really fun time). Rachel gave us the best pictures ever. I don't take good photos and this woman...I don't know what she does...but it is magic.
5. Post-wedding: Rachel is attentive and there for you.

Not only is Rachel probably the funniest person you will ever meet in your life- she is AMAZING at her job. She is warm, professional, responsive and most importantly AWESOME at what she does (I could go on and on!). My husband is really awkward with taking pictures and she had us laughing the whole time- it felt completely normal! We both have huge, loud families and she was able to organize everyone quickly to take big group pictures so that we didn't have to take away from our wedding day. She gets all the little details and really does a great job capturing your wedding day so that you will remember it forever. Definitely recommend Rachel times a million to any bride!

Rachel did an amazing job!! Not only does she take breathtaking photos, but she has a fun personality. She brought so much to our day. We have not had one person look at our photos and not mention the spectacular job our photographer did.

Rachel Kate Buckley is AMAZING. I am still swooning over my photographs ... and I only saw a small portion of them thus far! I love her photojournalistic style: we wanted nothing staged or artificial.

My husband LOATHES having his picture taken. I searched for a photographer who felt more like a member of our extended family or one of our circle of friends, rather than a hired shutter clicker. I'm loud and gregarious, it is easy to catch me on film ... but my husband? Craig is much more subtle. Rachel took SUCH amazing photos of Craig! She caught him vulnerable and unaware of her lens. Every bit of his personality is there in her pictures: he is a very funny, even irreverent, man, but he usually looks like a lump in pictures. Not in our wedding photos ... even the ones that were "semi-staged" with the family. Rachel cracked wise with him and got him to laugh. She was perfect for us! Our friends all had a great things to say about their interactions with her too!

I'm a first time bride at fifty years of age, so let's just say I won't need Rachel for any baby pictures in this lifetime. But I am looking for the next big reason to have her shoot photos for us. My only advice is BOOK EARLY!!! Rachel had closed her schedule for wedding bookings when I first spoke to her in Jan of 2012 for a September 2012 wedding. Lucky me, we "clicked" and she agreed to shoot our wedding.

Rachel herself is beautiful and funny ... her photographs are shot with the eye of an artist ... and as a business woman, she was punctual and efficient. I don't know how she does it all, but I am thankful that she does!!

Our photos are like nothing I have ever seen before. She is truly amazing, and captured every precious moment of our big day! She blended right in and wasn't "in your face". You would hardly know she was there taking pictures.
