QNR Productions is a full service mobile music company, which provides innovative and professional Disc Jockey service. For over a decade QNR Productions has been providing local schools and universities, corporate organizations and area hotels with professional quality disc jockey entertainment at the most affordable prices. Our commitment to improving the mobile entertainment industry has been highly regarded and well received, and as such we are proud to have received the 1997 Paul and Elizabeth Montel Prize for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Service to the Tufts University community. The cash prize associated with the Prize was extremely helpful in our initial expansion from the one-person operation to the full service organization we are today. Students at Tufts University in Medford, MA founded QNR Productions in 1991. There was a void that needed filling. The idea was to provide premium mobile disc jockey services to the university’s diverse community. Every student organization ranging from the African American Society and Hillel to the Asian American Society has enjoyed the support of our complete music service.

Since the very inception of the company, QNR Productions has gone on to perform at every type of event imaginable. Ranging from Birthday parties, Weddings, Fraternity and Sorority Formals, Bat and Bar Mitzfahs.

There is a thirst for the knowledge of how people of different backgrounds relate to one another in their own environment, where they are most comfortable. We are a nation of immigrants. To us, it makes good business sense to celebrate our ethnic differences, especially since our popular music tends to unite us culturally. As a result, the company’s music library has grown to include popular music going back to the very dawn of recorded music and ethnic selections ranging from Caribbean, Italian, Russian, Klesmer, and West African.

The company has also added a rental division for clients who need top quality sound reinforcement. Clients can rent the highest quality equipment manufactured by Techniques, Yorkville, Peavey, Numark, and Dennon.

We have also done a number of theme parties. Folks love to rediscover Swing, Do Wop, Disco, The Eighties and Classic Rock. Being able to play a theme party as thoroughly as some companies play a current Top 40 party can only be achieved by a company that has done extensive research coupled with extensive purchasing. The music of an era is about the hits and the more obscure songs. There is nothing like the look on a person’s face when it lights up because you’ve bothered to play a song that they loved years ago.

Every event is treated as if it were the most important and prestigious gathering of people ever. As far as our client is concerned, that is exactly what it is. We believe that our clients deserve the benefit of all of our years of experience, and they deserve access to our vast musical library.

Preparation is priceless. Allowing the clients to plan their music has proven to be a great comfort. Where it is possible and appropriate we will play edited versions of songs.

Advances in technology have literally changed the way that music can be played. QNR Productions does not download music off of the Internet. All of the music that we play has been paid for. The company is a member of the New England DJ association, which is a collective of mobile music professionals. The Association supplies it members with the most up to date music available. While we literally have thousands of records and compact discs, we also have brand new customized steel encased professional DJ computers with touch screens so that it is easier to load hours of music.

QNR Productions was founded on the principle of service. Our dedication to this simple idea has allowed us to maintain the high quality of our product. In fact, as technology has changed the mobile music industry, QNR Productions has been able to evolve and expand right along with the industry.The Bottom line is that we will create an atmosphere where people will want to dance!
