Poppies and Peonies offers wedding planning/coordinating and floral design in upstate South Carolina and the surrounding areas. Our work also takes us to the North Carolina mountains, north Georgia, and the lower parts of South Carolina. (And we love an adventure, so travel is welcome!) We delight in serving couples by removing the sometimes burdensome planning process (which we actually enjoy!). We also love the hospitality, caring for people, and problem-solving aspects of wedding coordinating. And a hallmark of our business is natural and artful floral design, which was actually our very first business offering and the component that we have used to grow us toward event planning and coordinating. In our floral design, we take great joy in giving careful attention to the design process and to each detail of the finished product. We work creatively with you to maximize the use of your budget and to repurpose floral items from ceremony to reception. We believe that approach to be a crucial part of being good stewards not only of your budget, but also of the beauty of floral creations. When able, we use locally sourced, seasonal flowers and natural elements that enhance the floral beauty. We also strive to give each flower its spot in the design, working with loose and flowing approaches when appropriate to the bride's vision.
