Choosing PlumpJack Squaw as our wedding venue was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. From start to finish, the PJ team (Marion, Ilana & Rob) was thorough & enthusiastic, and went absolutely above and beyond to bring our wedding vision to life. Hosting a winter wedding in the Tahoe area comes with many variables to consider, and each curveball was gracefully handled by them as our big day approached. They made the whole planning experience very easy and stress free for us! One of our other favorite things about working with PJ was how inclusive the venue was - Even the little details like candles, menus and linens were included, which made a big difference! On top of all that, you can't beat the unreal beauty of the property and ceremony spaces. I would not change a thing if we had to do it all over again! Thank you PJ!! :)

PlumpJack was the perfect venue for our fall wedding! We wanted a romantic, rustic, and intimate wedding, and that is exactly what we got at PlumpJack. The staff was flexible and helpful, and they corresponded with us throughout our entire planning process. The ceremony space was absolutely stunning, and all our guests raved about how beautiful it was. The food was amazing, and the team worked with us to design a menu that was based on seasonal availability as well as our preferences and allergies. Everyone's food came out at the right time, and the staff even kept our food warm while we took some extra sunset pictures. The team kept everything running smoothly the whole evening, and the transitions were handled extremely well. It was convenient for our guests to be able to stay on site, so we did not have to worry about anyone driving after the reception. We cannot thank the team at PlumpJack enough for helping us create the day of our dreams!

We had our wedding and reception Oct 6, 2018. Marion and Illana did an amazing job coordinating all the details of the site and food & beverage. The property was an amazing backdrop and had the canvas that transformed the Mountain Room into my dream day. The staff work tirelessly to assist in any way they can and that made all planning our wedding without professional planners easy. Highly recommend for food and service.

I had my wedding here a week ago. Marion and Ilana have been communicative and professional the whole year of planning, and the reception was pulled off wonderfully. The food was delicious and the chef came up with specific dishes that we requested that weren't on the menu, like kimchi lettuce wraps and pierogi. The flow of service was perfect, and the patio area was a great size for fifty guests. We booked a honeymoon suite here and were surprised with a bottle of champagne and a sweet note from the wedding planners. I can't think of a single thing I would have wanted done differently. So grateful to the team here!

Organising our Winter wedding in March 2017 at Plumpjack was very stress free. Ilana and Marion responded to all our questions promptly and with all the information we required to make decisions. We were really concerned on how we would organise the ceremony and reception from Sydney Australia where we live but they made the whole experience very easy. The venue was beautiful, the food was amazing, all the staff were very friendly and professional. We had to change a few things last minute due to the snow and nothing was too much trouble for them. Could not recommend Plumpjack highly enough for a wedding, we had a near perfect day, loved it.

The staff at PlumpJack are simply wonderful. They made every step of the planning process seamless and easy by responding to all of our questions quickly. Our guests could not stop complimenting the service they received during their stay. The ceremony site is gorgeous and reception room was perfect. PlumpJack seemed to have everything taken care of for us, so we could really just enjoy our day. I would recommend them to anyone!

PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn was the perfect wedding venue! We were able to do all of our wedding day events in the various areas within PlumpJack so that our guests didn't have to transport between locations to enjoy our wedding (and we didn't have to worry about logistics and transportation!).

Lodging

The hotel is beautiful. The complimentary breakfast is out of this world. The pool area is comfortable and relaxing. They are dog friendly, and it was so fun to bring our black lab to our wedding weekend.

Ceremony

It's the perfect setting under the peaks of KT-22 and High Camp. The stone-floored creek side area makes for a beautiful aisle to walk down. Where the sun sets in the afternoon makes for the perfect lighting and comfortable summer temperature for all the guests.

Cocktail Hour and Dinner

Everyone had a blast. The booze was flowing. PlumpJack had enough people on staff so that no one had to wait in line for too long to get a drink. The food was absolutely delicious - we did passed appetizers, seasonal salad, main course, and cupcakes. The chef is very friendly and extremely talented.

Planning Process

MOST IMPORTANTLY... The PlumpJack team (Ilana, Marion, and Rob) were such a pleasure to work with.

They were professional, responsive, creative, supportive - qualities that were so helpful and invaluable in a wedding venue management team. They worked closely with us throughout the many-months-long planning process to make sure that they were providing everything we needed and that they understood exactly how our wedding day was supposed to go. On the day of, they executed everything as planned. My husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing, and we were able to just enjoy ourselves.

Our wedding weekend at PlumpJack was just perfect! We had both our welcome reception and wedding reception at PlumpJack and filled almost the entire hotel with guests. It felt really intimate and special to have the whole hotel to ourselves. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The back patio is beautiful and perfect for a welcome reception. I would highly recommend the woodfired pizzas! We had our wedding ceremony on the lake, but the reception hall at PlumpJack was great. We had 150 guests and it was a good size for that amount, though I probably wouldn't have wanted many more. We got lots of compliments on the food, it was fantastic! The dance floor is upstairs, which at first I thought was weird, but it was actually great because guests could go downstairs or outside if they wanted a break from dancing. My only complaint was that the dance floor room was really hot, but everyone kept dancing all night, so it didn't slow us down!

My husband and I were truly thrilled with the outcome of our wedding at PlumpJack. The venue itself is beautiful, with a stunning mountain backdrop and a rustic feel. The planning process was made incredibly easy by their phenomenal sales team who walked us through every little step and helped us decide on even the smallest things. They were not at all pushy, and gave us their honest appraisal of what we should spend our money on to best entertain our guests. The planning process was completed well in advance so that we didn't have to worry about it close to our wedding date, the team provided recommendations for local vendors (since we had a destination wedding), and they were unbelievably helpful on the day of my wedding to make sure things were set up the way I had envisioned them. It was so much fun having the wedding at such a small and intimate resort that really cares about your happiness and will do whatever they can to make your day special. I would highly recommend having your wedding here if you are searching in the Lake Tahoe area!!
