We had an amazing experience with Nancy and her daughter Kristen at our wedding in October 2016. Knowing that we lived out of state and didn't have time for an engagement shoot, Nancy very smartly suggested we take some of our couple photos at various locations in Alexandria, VA a few days before the ceremony, which ended up saving us a ton of time on our wedding day and allowing us to enjoy our cocktail hour. The day of the wedding, our family picture time was significantly behind schedule, so Nancy and Kristen used the time to take a ton of great detail shots around our house and reception--we were so pleasantly surprised to see so many extra photos when we received them! I have a large family and Nancy was a true professional managing them, changing groups in and out and flowing right along with the chaotic atmosphere without missing a beat. She was also great at pumping me up when she could tell my enthusiasm for picture taking was waning. We received our online gallery link and photo CD within 3 weeks of the wedding and Nancy was very helpful and responsive from booking to completion. Overall, a great experience and very reasonable price!

Nancy is very responsive, friendly, and extremely creative. It was really easy communicating with her. She did a few of the usual wedding photos which is necessary (family, bridal party, etc.) but afterwards got really creative and fun with our photos. We especially liked how she was out of the box when taking the picture of our rings. We really loved her and her work. the only criticism I received was wishing she was a little more interactive and lighter, not so professional. In my opinion, to each their own and we loved her.

Nancy Zook was absolutely amazing!! She worked hard to determine our vision, researched our venue and went above and beyond to ensure our day was absolutely perfect on film. We received hundreds upon hundreds of photos on disc. She didn't miss once single little detail. Everything was perfect. We used Nancy for our engagement photos and would recommend her to everyone we know.

Nancy was such a wonderful addition to our wedding. She had some amazing ideas, used our props and others that she has, kept in contact with us, and was very helpful in coming up with some wonderful photo ideas. She was going to do my bridal portraits as well but the weather didn't cooperate. She was super flexible and kept in contact the whole time. My family and I love the pictures and have been using them to help decorate our new house! She's an honest and loving person and it shines through each of her pictures!

My sisters recommended Nancy to me as she has taken photographs of their children/families. She was so easy to get in touch with early on and was in regular contact whenever I had questions. She was proactive about reaching out to me with her questionnaire before the wedding and making sure she was prepared for everything my husband and I wanted.

Nancy offers very good rates for the VA/DC/MD area and provides you with a CD of all your photos--so you own the rights to all of them with no additional charge. She can produce a photo album if you want it, but is honest in saying you can get it done cheaper elsewhere.

The quality of her photos are great and she was so creative. We wanted to incorporate the American flag into our wedding photos and she had great ideas and the pictures turned our really neat!

We will definitely go back to Photography by Zook when we need more photos!
