Experience
Katie Leigh is a photojournalism graduate of Kent State University. She spent seven years working as a photojournalist for two different newspapers, then went to work at a portraiture studio. These experiences helped her create the flawless wedding photography style she uses today.

Katie Leigh offers several different wedding packages for couples of all styles and budgets. She offers great value for each wedding, whether couples want to go all out or stick to a smaller budget. Edited photos are typically ready six to eight weeks after the event. Katie Leigh offers these services for each of her packages:

Katie's the Best!
We booked Katie as our photographer for our September 2019 wedding at West Overton, and we were so incredibly pleased with her personality and work. She was FABULOUS on the day-of and very clearly knew her stuff. There was a bit of rain during our group photos, but she was prepared and even made sure my glasses got cleaned! I don't even remember seeing her around most of the reception, but the photos prove she was there and capturing every special moment all night long!
Katie was flexible and easy to plan with ahead of time, and her photos turned out beautifully and captured our special day in a way that we could not have even imagined. When we received the proofs and flash drive with our photos (only 4 weeks after the wedding), we were even surprised with a little "make it a date!" package to enjoy while we viewed our photos and little toys for our cats! It's truly the small things like this that make Katie the best!! I strongly recommend working with Katie for your wedding, engagement, or anything else, and I surely won't hesitate to book her services in the future!

Wonderful!
Katie was absolutely wonderful to work with on our wedding day. The line of communication was open in the weeks leading up to the big day, as well as during the wedding & reception. She went above and beyond to snag any pictures we requested & was patient as we tried to wrangle in 10 sugared up kids for a group photo (which turned out awesome)! Katie gave us great directions during our couple shots and the photos turned out amazing. We were beyond pleased with the service provided to us by Katie. The finished photographs arrived in the most beautiful engraved wooden box, along with a flashdrive. We will cherish the the photographs of our wedding day forever, thank you Katie!

She indulged my crazy ideas
As a visual artist myself, I had some big ideas for our wedding & engagement photos. After narrowing my search, I sent several photographers a description of my crazy ideas. While the other potential photographers were all like, ok yeah cool, Katie responded with an enthusiasm for my concepts, instantly building on them with ideas of her own. One of my ideas was engagement photos in the rain, and sure enough, our scheduled day happened to be the second rainiest day in Pittsburgh history! Poor Katie. She was still recovering from an ankle injury, but that didn’t stop her from trudging around Schenley Park, getting absolutely soaked while taking such stunning photos for us. Now I’ve had my wedding photos for about a week, and I can’t stop browsing through them. Katie seems to know how to capture everyone’s best side. Her work is beautiful. She’s very easy to talk to and very easy to work with. Several people at our wedding commented on how hard she was working the entire time – they said it seemed like she was everywhere – but she totally blended in, and once we were done with the portraits, I barely noticed her the rest of the night. She was a perfect choice for us and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough.
