A hidden wedding venue gem in Philadelphia!!! Samantha and the team at the Marriott Old City brought our dream city to wedding to life. Working with Samantha was so seamless and easy. She was always so quick to respond and made the whole process so enjoyable. Samantha was with us through every step of the way from our private tasting to helping curate our perfect reception timeline. The day of and weekend ran so smoothly and we all (including our family) able to just sit back and enjoy every moment. The team really went above and beyond! Our guests raved about the food, the flow, the hotel space and just the beautiful location in old city! My whole family is from out of town and the best part of the whole weekend was that no one had to leave the venue and we didn’t have to do transportation logistics for guests as it’s a hotel. I can’t recommend enough the Marriott Old City for your wedding! It’s the perfect ballroom space to have a classic Philadelphia wedding in the most beautiful part of the city! It also has the most beautiful outdoor space for cocktail hours! Samantha and her team are the best!! You won’t regret booking the Marriott Old City!

WOW!! Samantha and the team at Marriott Old City truly made our dream wedding come to life. Communication was easy throughout the entire process - Samantha was always extremely quick to respond and answer all our detailed questions - not just from me, but from family members, vendors, and our coordination team. I am very type-A and organized when it comes to planning, and Samantha was able to match that energy. The team clearly knows what they are doing and runs like a well-oiled machine, and this was evident from before we even toured the venue. Our private food tasting was easy to schedule, as was our final details meeting the month before the wedding. The day-of and weekend-of the wedding ran very smoothly, and all staff were extremely attentive to needs of both myself and our family/guests. I was able to remain very calm the entire weekend, because I knew Samantha and the team wouldn't let anything slip through the cracks! They truly went ABOVE and BEYOND. Guests loved the food (we loved it too!) and spoke highly of the hotel in general. The suite where the bridal party got hair and makeup done was spacious and clean. Our room block of 48 rooms was easy to coordinate, and we always felt up to date on how many rooms were booked. I HIGHLY recommend Marriott Old City for your wedding or event, and have to give so much credit to Samantha’s amazing organizational and planning skills! 10/10!

This was the perfect place for our wedding, it is right in the heart of olde city with that romance vibe. Plenty of space for our guests and everyone bragged about the food!!

Samantha Serenkin is the most personable and professional planner in the business! Leading up to the event for 300 guests and the follow through was amazing. The quality of food, service, fun and attention to detail was the best of the countless weddings we have been to. Literally everyone said it was the best wedding they have been to! From valet and the front desk to maint. and hskp everyone was super friendly. The bartenders and servers were a blast and the event planners were everything you would expect from a Marriott! The venue itself was perfect...Spacious clean, huge lobby bar and outdoor space including cornhole. The location in old city was a block from the church and the rehearsal dinner, not to mention the countless bars and restaurants that we all made an extended weekend out of. Thank you for making my daughter's wedding a dream come true!

The Philadelphia Marriott Old City made all of our wedding dreams come true. The entire process, from initial booking to our final details meeting, was a breeze, and the Marriott made sure we felt heard the entire time. Our coordinator, Samantha Serenkin was INCREDIBLE! She was extremely professional, attentive, and accommodating. She was our favorite vendor to work with! Highly recommend the Philadelphia Marriott in Old City as a wedding venue for a fantastic experience in the most charming part of the city.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Marriott. During covid, they were so helpful in rearranging everything for us. When the time FINALLY came for our wedding, Lauren made sure we had the most amazing night! It was absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly and plentiful, food was great, nothing but amazing thing to say!

Traci, Fran, and the whole team at the Marriott (formerly Sheraton Society Hill) are fantastic – can’t thank them enough for making our wedding reception so amazing! Throughout the planning process, I worked with Traci who was so professional and easy to work with, she is so sweet – I absolutely loved working with her! She was so responsive to all my emails/calls/questions and while she was out on maternity leave for my actual wedding day, she organized everything perfectly before she left so it was an easy transition. Fran was my contact for the few weeks before the wedding and day-of, and he was just as amazing – completely made us feel at ease and the day of, we didn’t have to worry about one thing.
The food is amazing – Many of our guests commented how great all the food (especially the cocktail hour) was! You get to try a ton at the tasting which makes it hard to decide because everything is so good. The team is also super flexible and accommodating if you have any special requests – we met Kim, one of the servers, at our tasting who was also at the actual wedding – she went above and beyond, truly made us feel like royalty for a night!!
Nikki managed our hotel block and was extremely helpful – we had no issues at all and she was able to answer all of our (and our guests’) questions regarding the rooms.
We did face one slight complication because the Sheraton rebranded to the Marriott a few months before our wedding but Traci regularly shared updates on the status of the rebrand and some of the renovations going on at the hotel so we really didn’t have anything to worry about! The newly renovated rooms and lobby bar are gorgeous.
The evening was simply perfect and would definitely recommend the Marriott – great location in Old City (great for nearby photos) and an amazing value for Philly!

We didn’t even plan to check out this Sheraton on our venue search, but it was in such a great neighborhood and next to our lunch spot. We had to take a sneak peak. Tracy responsed immediately and she was so positive, flexible, and helpful the entire process. We only had like 7mo to plan and I would do nothing different!
