Great deal and beautiful spot for a Philly wedding!
Traci, Fran, and the whole team at the Marriott (formerly Sheraton Society Hill) are fantastic – can’t thank them enough for making our wedding reception so amazing! Throughout the planning process, I worked with Traci who was so professional and easy to work with, she is so sweet – I absolutely loved working with her! She was so responsive to all my emails/calls/questions and while she was out on maternity leave for my actual wedding day, she organized everything perfectly before she left so it was an easy transition. Fran was my contact for the few weeks before the wedding and day-of, and he was just as amazing – completely made us feel at ease and the day of, we didn’t have to worry about one thing.
The food is amazing – Many of our guests commented how great all the food (especially the cocktail hour) was! You get to try a ton at the tasting which makes it hard to decide because everything is so good. The team is also super flexible and accommodating if you have any special requests – we met Kim, one of the servers, at our tasting who was also at the actual wedding – she went above and beyond, truly made us feel like royalty for a night!!
Nikki managed our hotel block and was extremely helpful – we had no issues at all and she was able to answer all of our (and our guests’) questions regarding the rooms.
We did face one slight complication because the Sheraton rebranded to the Marriott a few months before our wedding but Traci regularly shared updates on the status of the rebrand and some of the renovations going on at the hotel so we really didn’t have anything to worry about! The newly renovated rooms and lobby bar are gorgeous.
The evening was simply perfect and would definitely recommend the Marriott – great location in Old City (great for nearby photos) and an amazing value for Philly!

The perfect venue!
From the very start Traci was an absolute pleasure to work with. From our initial tour, until checkout the morning after our wedding (18 months), Traci was there for every single detail. We had such an incredible experience in this beautiful hotel. Guests are still complimenting the food and the service. Traci assured me that I wouldn't have to worry about anything and she was right! She was by side until the moment I walked down the isle. Calming me down and telling me how beautiful everything was. Our cocktail hour and reception couldn't have ran any smoother than it did! Her and her team made sure dinner was served promptly, and we were able to maximize our party time! Our personal servers were so attentive to both of our families all night, that I never left the dance floor. They were always there with a fresh drink for me haha! Our parents are still in awe of how wonderful it all was. Mike and I are so thankful we came to tour because we knew instantly that it was the perfect venue for us. We even hosted our after party at Taste - the beautiful bar in the hotel. We had a cheesesteak station and pretzel station set up after the reception. All of the service was beyond anything we could of imagined and I am truly grateful to Traci and the entire team for all of their hard work and professionalism. I'm also so grateful for the relationship I formed with Traci throughout the planning process. She is so personable and warm and I wish I was only beginning to plan my wedding so I can relive it all. Had the wedding of a lifetime at Sheraton Society Hill! Was initially deciding between Cescaphe group and Sheraton but would choose Sheraton again in a heartbeat! The venue is beautiful, super convenient location in town, free valet parking for guests, delicious food and all of the staff at the Sheraton from our wedding coordinator Traci to her assistants Kathleen, Edmund and Joey were absolutely amazing! They did everything in their power to make sure we had our dream wedding and to this day cannot stop talking about how amazing it was!!! It was also super convenient to have guests stay at the hotel over the weekend and the morning after brunch was excellent as well :)Sent on 09/12/2018
