    Perfect Experience for the Perfect Day!

    I would highly recommend the Philadelphia Marriott Old City. Samantha and the entire team was amazing to work with during the entire wedding planning process. They catered to my every need without question and problem. The exceeded my expectations and thanks to them, we had the most perfect day.

    Dream wedding from start to finish

    Samantha Serenkin is the most personable and professional planner in the business! Leading up to the event for 300 guests and the follow through was amazing. The quality of food, service, fun and attention to detail was the best of the countless weddings we have been to. Literally everyone said it was the best wedding they have been to! From valet and the front desk to maint. and hskp everyone was super friendly. The bartenders and servers were a blast and the event planners were everything you would expect from a Marriott! The venue itself was perfect...Spacious clean, huge lobby bar and outdoor space including cornhole. The location in old city was a block from the church and the rehearsal dinner, not to mention the countless bars and restaurants that we all made an extended weekend out of. Thank you for making my daughter's wedding a dream come true!

    Spring Wedding

    This was the perfect place for our wedding, it is right in the heart of olde city with that romance vibe. Plenty of space for our guests and everyone bragged about the food!!

    Our favorite vendor to work with & our wedding dreams came true!

    The Philadelphia Marriott Old City made all of our wedding dreams come true. The entire process, from initial booking to our final details meeting, was a breeze, and the Marriott made sure we felt heard the entire time. Our coordinator, Samantha Serenkin was INCREDIBLE! She was extremely professional, attentive, and accommodating. She was our favorite vendor to work with! Highly recommend the Philadelphia Marriott in Old City as a wedding venue for a fantastic experience in the most charming part of the city.

    Wedding of our dreams

    I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Marriott. During covid, they were so helpful in rearranging everything for us. When the time FINALLY came for our wedding, Lauren made sure we had the most amazing night! It was absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly and plentiful, food was great, nothing but amazing thing to say!

    Great deal and beautiful spot for a Philly wedding!

    Traci, Fran, and the whole team at the Marriott (formerly Sheraton Society Hill) are fantastic – can’t thank them enough for making our wedding reception so amazing! Throughout the planning process, I worked with Traci who was so professional and easy to work with, she is so sweet – I absolutely loved working with her! She was so responsive to all my emails/calls/questions and while she was out on maternity leave for my actual wedding day, she organized everything perfectly before she left so it was an easy transition. Fran was my contact for the few weeks before the wedding and day-of, and he was just as amazing – completely made us feel at ease and the day of, we didn’t have to worry about one thing.
    The food is amazing – Many of our guests commented how great all the food (especially the cocktail hour) was! You get to try a ton at the tasting which makes it hard to decide because everything is so good. The team is also super flexible and accommodating if you have any special requests – we met Kim, one of the servers, at our tasting who was also at the actual wedding – she went above and beyond, truly made us feel like royalty for a night!!
    Nikki managed our hotel block and was extremely helpful – we had no issues at all and she was able to answer all of our (and our guests’) questions regarding the rooms.
    We did face one slight complication because the Sheraton rebranded to the Marriott a few months before our wedding but Traci regularly shared updates on the status of the rebrand and some of the renovations going on at the hotel so we really didn’t have anything to worry about! The newly renovated rooms and lobby bar are gorgeous.
    The evening was simply perfect and would definitely recommend the Marriott – great location in Old City (great for nearby photos) and an amazing value for Philly!

    The perfect venue!

    From the very start Traci was an absolute pleasure to work with. From our initial tour, until checkout the morning after our wedding (18 months), Traci was there for every single detail. We had such an incredible experience in this beautiful hotel. Guests are still complimenting the food and the service. Traci assured me that I wouldn't have to worry about anything and she was right! She was by side until the moment I walked down the isle. Calming me down and telling me how beautiful everything was. Our cocktail hour and reception couldn't have ran any smoother than it did! Her and her team made sure dinner was served promptly, and we were able to maximize our party time! Our personal servers were so attentive to both of our families all night, that I never left the dance floor. They were always there with a fresh drink for me haha! Our parents are still in awe of how wonderful it all was. Mike and I are so thankful we came to tour because we knew instantly that it was the perfect venue for us. We even hosted our after party at Taste - the beautiful bar in the hotel. We had a cheesesteak station and pretzel station set up after the reception. All of the service was beyond anything we could of imagined and I am truly grateful to Traci and the entire team for all of their hard work and professionalism. I'm also so grateful for the relationship I formed with Traci throughout the planning process. She is so personable and warm and I wish I was only beginning to plan my wedding so I can relive it all. Thank you, Traci and everyone at The Sheraton Society Hill. You gave us the most magical day of our lives!!

    Had the wedding of a lifetime at Sheraton Society Hill! Was initially deciding between Cescaphe group and Sheraton but would choose Sheraton again in a heartbeat! The venue is beautiful, super convenient location in town, free valet parking for guests, delicious food and all of the staff at the Sheraton from our wedding coordinator Traci to her assistants Kathleen, Edmund and Joey were absolutely amazing! They did everything in their power to make sure we had our dream wedding and to this day cannot stop talking about how amazing it was!!! It was also super convenient to have guests stay at the hotel over the weekend and the morning after brunch was excellent as well :)

    Excellent the whole time

    We didn’t even plan to check out this Sheraton on our venue search, but it was in such a great neighborhood and next to our lunch spot. We had to take a sneak peak. Tracy responsed immediately and she was so positive, flexible, and helpful the entire process. We only had like 7mo to plan and I would do nothing different!

    Through working with Carroll, I have reserved a block of rooms for our guests coming for one-three nights. She was extremely easy to work with and getting everything set up was super simple for myself and my guests. I look forward to having one place for everyone to be on the days surrounding our big day in order to ensure comfort and an enjoyable wedding weekend for all!

    If you haven't booked your venue yet, you are in luck because you still have time to book the Sheraton Society Hill! This was the first venue that I met with after I got engaged, and I was hooked after I met the coordinator Traci Meldrum. She is AMAZING!! As soon as I met her, I knew that this was the woman that would make my wedding dreams come true. We called and booked with them the next day! Through out the whole planning process, Traci was incredibly responsive and such a pleasure to work with. I had so many questions for her about little details that came to mind and she always had an answer or solution for me. When we went in for our tasting, there was a private room set up with all the food and drinks waiting for us. I am such a foodie and let me tell you - INCREDIBLE! Fast forward to the big day, I had been in contact with Traci via text and email up until that morning. When I checked in to the hotel, Traci came down and made sure that I was settled and had everything I needed. She went above and beyond that day, even coming to my first look and taking pictures with my sister! Cocktail hour was amazing. My guests raved about how delicious all the food was and everyone always had a drink in hand. I could seriously go on for hours about how amazing everyone at the Sheraton was that day. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We received so many compliments on everything to do with the venue from all of our guests. If you are smart, book the Sheraton Society Hill! They gave me the wedding of my dreams!

    The Sheraton Society Hill was the venue for our daughter's wedding of 320 guests. From our initial consultation with Traci Teodoro Meldrum we knew it was the right place. Everything was perfect - the food, the service, the attention to detail, their ability to improvise, the decor, and the cleanliness of the facility. Traci was a dream to work with as she was happy to try anything that was asked of her. She did a fabulous job in suggesting alternatives if we were stumped. We felt perfectly at ease with Traci at the helm. We had our ceremony at a different location and when the guests arrived to the hotel, many checked in for the night. We had 85 guest rooms and the check in process went smoothly. Carroll Lawson helped with providing extra staff for the influx of people at that time and kept us aware of our guest count so we would have enough welcome bags (which they did not charge to distribute). The day was a rainy day so the cocktail hour had to be moved to the lobby instead of the lovely outdoor courtyard. No problem though! There was plenty of room o eat, drink, & be happy! The room was very comfortable with 320 guests and the dance floor was very roomy. The acoustics in the room were also very good and our band (Slippery) sounded awesome. After the wedding we had an after party in the TASTE bar where the hotel prepared cheese steaks for our guests. Everyone parties well into the night. The following morning we hosted a breakfast for 150 guests and again, the food and service was exceptional. Overall, I rate this venue an A+

    We highly recommend the Sheraton Society Hill as a wedding reception venue. From the beginning of our planning process, the Sheraton stood out to us as a beautiful, downtown location that fit into our budget. Traci Teodoro-Meldrum, the catering manager, made the entire planning process easy for us. She is extremely responsive, flexible, and organized. She answered every question and concern we had and made sure that we were happy with each decision. The night of the wedding she was there to make sure everything ran smoothly and even made sure that we ate dinner without too many interruptions.

    Traci helped us to build a package that fit our budget and our needs. Our cocktail hour included two stations and passed appetizers. For our reception, the guests had a choice between two meals. The bar was open for the entire event, which guests appreciated especially during dinner. Everyone commented that the food was delicious and served warm. Traci also took care of setting up our centerpieces, the cocktail hour space, and the ballroom exactly how we envisioned it.

    We had almost half of our guests traveling from Chicago for the wedding and booking a block of rooms was so easy at the Sheraton. Carol Lawson updated us with the number of rooms being filled and was flexible when it came to moving some guests into our block who hadn't booked it correctly. All of our guests at the hotel were impressed by the cleanliness, friendliness, and overall service of everyone they interacted with at the Sheraton.

    We fell in love with the Sheraton Society Hill Hotel from the very first time we visited it. The chandeliers and ballroom are absolutely beautiful. The venue coordinator, Traci Meldrum, was helpful throughout the entire process. From our initial contact she was professional, courteous, responsive, resourceful, and an absolute pleasure to work with. She really gets to know the wedding couple and put my mind at ease that everything would be executed perfectly on the day – and it was! Traci worked with us to customize our wedding package and made sure we were getting the most value out of our package.

    We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the Sheraton and found it very convenient for both our guests and us to have everything at one central location. We also set up a room block at the Sheraton for our out-of-town and overnight guests. Further, we had a post-wedding brunch on site at the Sheraton which worked out great. We loved our tasting and the food the day of was delicious! I would highly recommend the Sheraton Society Hill to anyone to use for their wedding venue.

    Sheraton Society Hill was where we stayed all weekend for our wedding and also blocked rooms. They were super helpful every step of the way. We had welcome bags for our guests that they happily handed out at check-in without requiring us to pay a fee!

    The hotel and staff were fantastic. Dan Peterson was absolutely great to work with. He was as honest as could be. He gave us a price and that was it. He was helpful all through the planning stage and on wedding day, he was there from early in the morning to the end. He made sure the wedding party got checked in to their rooms early.

    Dan made sure the wedding ran smoothly, set up the procession, etc.

    The hotel staff couldn't have been friendly or any more helpful. The wait staff and the bar staff were great. The bar was stocked with top shelf liquor and the drinks were not watered down.

    Everything was perfect. I would recommend the Sheraton Society Hill to anyone. You can't do better.

    And may i add that it was recently remodeled and it looks fantastic.

    Thank you Sheraton, for such a perfect wedding experience for my husband and I and of course, from all of our family and friends! Carroll Lawson, the events/room manager, for Sheraton Society Hill, was amazing to work with. I know she has a lot on her plate constantly and her easy, smooth and professional work was outstanding and we couldn't have been happier! She made the whole planning process from beginning to end, very easy. She was very flexible and very patient with all of our needs. I had basically 90% of my wedding from out of town and all my family and friends were very pleased with their experience. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are very friendly. Considering there were 4 wedding parties at the same hotel the night of our wedding, it all went so smooth and perfect. The large suites they have for the brides are perfect. They are large, roomy, bright and have all the space that you need. The rooms are great and the beds are so comfortable. This is the hotel we always recommend when our family and friends come out to visit. The location is perfect for out of town guests and the renovations that have been made within the last year are beautiful. Thank you Carroll for all of your hard work that you and your staff have done to make many brides and customers as happy as we were! We will highly recommend your services to all that we know! :)

    We had a Saturday night wedding at the Sheraton Society Hill and could not be happier! Dan Peterson was our contact there, and he made the whole process stress-free and easy. The food was wonderful - we got so many compliments. Cocktail hour was incredible. The rooms (ballroom and guest rooms) are renovated and beautiful. Every single person on the staff, from the valets to desk staff to doormen to wait-staff, was outstanding. They could not have been more helpful and kind. The wedding was exactly how we imagined. We can't thank Dan and the Sheraton enough!

    There is not a bad word that I could say about the Sheraton Society Hill! We have been hosting special events at this venue for almost 20 years! Both my sisters' weddings, my Sweet 16, nephew's 1st birthday parties.. It is just one of the best venues in the city! Dan and the staff were able to accomodate my 4th of July holiday weekend - which is one of the busiest time in Philly! I could not speak any higher of the staff, quality, and attention to detail that they out into any event! I look forward to celebrating more special events in the future!

    Dan and the staff at the Sheraton couldn’t have been more accommodating to our many requests throughout our year and a half of planning our wedding. We had been to a couple of weddings there before and knew that we wanted to make some changes to the standard menus ensure that our wedding felt unique to us – the Sheraton helped us create our own custom menu that even included a surprise cheesesteak option for our guests! Half of our guests stayed at the hotel, and everyone had great things to say and loved that the location allowed them to explore the sites.

    We did A LOT of searching and the Society Hill Sheraton gave us the best pricing. I must say that they exceeded our expectations. Our parents met at the tasting and I was blown away by the attention and service from the start. Fran the manager handled every detail with such professionalism. There is no need for a wedding planner. Our guests had a FANTASTIC time. The staff was amazing and provided outstanding service. The food was excellent, I still think about it. I am so thankful to them for everything!

    We were so so so glad to have booked the Sheraton for our wedding reception. Traci (as many other reviewers rightfully call-out) is truly wonderful. Super responsive, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to make the process from planning to execution a dream. We had to plan remotely for a lot of our wedding and Traci was very flexible and on top of everything. We ended up having 167 guests for our cocktail hour/reception as well as an after-party and brunch for 113 guests the day after. We had 56 guest rooms and Carroll did a great job organizing all logistics. The Sheraton delivered on all accounts for our wedding. All of our guests raved how nice it was that they could be outside in the city for the cocktail hour and how great it was to have exclusive use of the space for the whole wedding. Our vendors even mentioned how easy it was to work with the Sheraton. Booking a venue is the most difficult part of the process and we are so glad we chose the Sheraton.

    The Sheraton was absolutely beautiful! The most beautiful of the Philadelphia hotels that were in our price range. The chandeliers made the space look so much more upscale, and the outdoor patio attached to the cocktail hour space was a perfect way to extend the party space for guests who smoke. Other hotels didn't have an outdoor space, and the guests would have had to take an elevator down multiple floors just to go outside and smoke. It was also super convenient to have the ceremony in the same place, also time saving and frustration saving, since we did not have to find transportation from a church. The ceremony space was beautiful also. The Sheraton has many connections with area vendors for things that they don't include, so we were able to find a drapery vendor to make the ceremony space a little more romantic. Careful though, the wedding planner from the hotel really tries to push one drapery and lighting vendor, but there is another one on her contact list that she gives you when you first meet that is less expensive but equally beautiful, so shop around yourself!! The best part of the Sheraton was that so much was included (food, drinks, signature drink, champagne toast, cake, 40 choices for table cloth colors) and that they really coordinated everything. I highly recommend this hotel for weddings!

    We had our rehearsal dinner here, and it was also where out of town guests stayed. It was beautiful, the food was great and the staff was very responsive.
