Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club is a wedding venue located in Gulf Shores, Alabama that provides the perfect blend of Southern hospitality with championship golf. Their contemporary, mediterranean-styled clubhouse features a full-service restaurant, bar, and lounge area, two reception rooms, and an outdoor patio with picturesque views of manicured fairways and a tranquil lake setting.

Facilities and Capacity
Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club offers many indoor and outdoor event spaces, that range from casual to formal, for a one-of-a-kind ceremony and reception. The Patio is able to accommodate 120 guests standing or 80 guests seated. The Driving Range and the Fairway can both fit over 200 guests seated. The Pier is for more intimate gatherings of up to 50 seated guests. Their reception spaces include:

Magical 30 Year Vow Renewal

I checked with several places in GS to have my reception with 60 guest attending. I am so happy that I found Candice at Peninsula! Having a reception from out of state was no challenge at all with her help. Everything from the DJ to the amazing food and linens were perfect. Candice worked within my budget and helped me with every detail. The chef inspired food was delicious and the presentation was impeccable. All of our guest had traveled from out of state. They were all raving about what a fun and beautiful place for the reception. My husband and I described our evening at Peninsula as magical, elegant & perfect! I highly recommend Peninsula for any event, it was the perfect marriage of memories.

Absolutely perfect!

The Peninsula was absolutely perfect for our daughters wedding reception! We live 14 hours away and had to arrange everything via email and phone calls. Candace was so helpful and a joy to work with! She made sure that everything was taken care of. We dropped off our centerpieces and she took care of everything. The food was exceptional! I would highly recommend this venue.

Candice and her staff were amazing! She put together an Engagement party for my son and about 25 guests. The Food was amazing and service exceeded my expectations.

Reception held at Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club-Candice Workman the Event Sales Manager provided a great plan for venue layout. Included areas for a live band, dancing, appetizers, elegant seated meal, cake cutting/serving, provided golf carts for bridal party delivery to the venue from the parking lot, organized lighting of the sparklers for the bridal exit. I could not have asked for more experienced staff. The staffing were all professional. The food was excellent, all of the staff were experienced in serving formal dining and did so quickly. The bar was appropriately staffed and served guest quickly. The venue and service pricing was less than expected. Not one guest complained about the quality of food, bar drinks or venue. The venue is beautiful and flows well. We had a blast, I highly recommend this facility and staff.

Candice was amazing to work with, and the location was beautiful! She was extremely helpful and willing to go above and beyond to make sure the day was perfect. Planning from out of town can be stressful, but she made sure I had anything I asked for or needed making the process very low stress and fun. I highly recommend Candice and Peninsula to anyone planning a reception!

The venue was incredible and beautiful, only surpassed by the quality of service and food! This was our son's wedding, and my wife researched numerous places before settling on Peninsula Golf and Racquet Club. It was an excellent choice...Dylan Sanders worked directly with her and even though we were at the other end of the state and only visited once before the wedding it turned out perfectly. Dylan and the rest of the team set up a beautiful reception area and the buffet was some of the best food we've ever had. Everyone seemed to truly enjoy the food and the layout allowed for a great meal with everyone while other areas (including the outside deck) allowed folks to congregate and mingle. The covered walkway entry to the clubhouse makes a fantastic entry and exit for the bride and groom. Dylan even provided a room for us to work on the decorations and have them ready-to-go as soon as the venue was available that day. The pictures from the event are wonderful, and even they don't do justice to just how great this venue was. We would not hesitate to recommend someone use this venue (and definitely let them cater the food!) for a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, or any event that you want to be memorable.

November Wedding at peninsula

Had a November wedding at peninsula. They were very flexiable with everything that I wanted to have at my wedding. Got lots of compliments on food. Candice was so wonderful and easy to work with. I can not stay enough good things about her! She keep me updated through the night and was so nice and respectful to everyone. All employees were wonderful to us. I loved the way all the little details worked out. All vendors that i used said peninsula was very easy to work with and they didn’t have any issues. We were so happy with how our day turned out. The only compliant that I have is I wish the grass would of been painted were our wedding was because there are dead spots in our pictures. Photographer noticed it during the wedding so we took family pictures in another spot but was unable to use our backdrop for our family/ wedding party pictures.

We will have our wedding here in April, however up till now The Peninsula has been wonderful at communicating about our needs, flexible with our menu, and just all around nice! We can't wait to have our wedding here!
