Jerry and the crew were phenomenal. We absolutely LOVED the music. Our friend was able to sing/perform with the band which made it even more personal and memorable. Jerry was flexible, thorough, and accommodating. We had the band for the ceremony music, cocktail hour, and dinner. We were able to choose which instruments were used, so we went with a standing bass, drums, and piano. There are a more instruments available as well as song lists in different genres. We went with jazz and funky jazz, sharing with Jerry some of our favorite songs so they knew the sound we wanted. We could not be happier with the overall vibe and performance. The sound quality was great too! Jerry and his band-mates are talented professionals and I highly recommend booking them for your wedding or event.

We can't emphasize enough how fantastic Peneplain Jazz was at our wedding this July in Boulder, CO. We had all but given up on being able to afford live music, but then Peneplain came along! Jerry is amazingly thorough and organized, and pulled together a fantastic group of musicians to play the mix of swing, jazzy standards, and even a little bit of 60's pop (which we especially appreciated, as it is a little outside their preferred repertoire).

Jerry knew the layout of our venue from past performances, and he and his group arrived with more than enough time to set up, even coming in an hour earlier at the last minute request of our caterer during the week leading up to the wedding.

There is a wonderful song list to choose from, and Jerry was extremely helpful in offering advice on which instrumentations might best fit our requests. We also had Crystal Collins as a singer, and she brought down the house! I can't tell you how many compliments we received on the quality of the music from both young and old guests, and we were so pleased that everyone felt so included and compelled to dance.

This was one of the two the best vendor decision we made during the wedding process, and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

We hired Jerry to perform for our cocktail and dinner hours during our wedding reception at the Univeristy Club (October 19, 2013). Jerry, along with his bassist, created exactly the classy mood we had envisioned. During the planning, Jerry was prompt and detailed with communication and accommodated all of our special requests (i.e. providing a mic to announce the bride and groom, ensuring the timing was perfect with making transitions/announcements, etc...). Many of our guests, including musicians in the family, commented about how much they enjoyed Jerry's talent. I would highly recommend Jerry - he is quite the professional and musician.

Peneplain music was a great choice for our corporate event. The music they played was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. I was also very impressed with their quick responses to my requests via email and phone. I would highly reccomend them for any event!

If you want everyone to dance at your wedding and you want it classy AND fun, then hire Peneplain Jazz. Our family is a family of musicians. A DJ just wouldn't cut it for us. We found Peneplain and began to visit with Jerry. He was responsive and very professional with us as we worked out what we wanted. The music they provided was so wonderful. We were able to choose two particular songs (one for bride/groom dance and the other for father/daughter), both of which they learned just for our wedding. All ages danced, young and old. We've noticed at other weddings that people 40+ don't dance much when it's a DJ. At both our son and daughter's wedding we hired a jazz band and it was well worth the bit of extra cost. SO MUCH FUN!

Peneplain was great! They played our cocktail-style wedding reception in a very challenging venue. They were amazing - the band kept the energy up all evening, and had way more people that I expected on the dance floor for a non-DJ, mellow event. Peneplain worked with us to include several special songs, including a few polkas (I assume that's not in their normal repertoire! haha). I have no problem recommending Peneplain Jazz to anyone planning an event that needs the special touch of great live music.
