I first tried Pearl Island catering at the Saturday market in Charlottesville. I am from Michigan and could not forget how good the food was so I knew when I started planning our wedding, they were who I wanted to cater for us. We had the Caribbean food and it is unbelievable. They were professional and easy to work with. We were told by more than 1 guest that it was the best wedding food they had ever had, and I have to agree. If you're looking for something a little different than your normal wedding food, check out Pearl Island catering! I cannot recommend them enough.

I used Pearl Island Catering for my daughters wedding. The ceremony was at 5:00 and they were to deliver the food between 2 and 3. The food never showed up until 4:45. The owner delivered the food but did not have the food that we ordered. He substituted out one of the starters but only half were suitable for display. Not only that, but part of the main course was shrimp kabobs which was not delivered until after everyone had eaten. The shrimp arrived cold and overcooked. The worse part was that there was no compensation or apology. The food we did receive was good BUT make sure that they are not overbooked for your day
