I used Party People Rental for my wedding. They were by far the worst vendor we used. We rented a large tent, tables, chairs, and other furnishings from them. We also used Skuddlebutts (their partner business) for the catering. We had them prepare a menu of our choosing (not their standard fare). Basically, Jasmine, our contact, was helpful and courteous. However, as soon as things started getting set up, problems arose. The orientation of the tent, as well as the location of the support poles was not what we expected, also the tent went up late, and when it was set up, we noticed that the inside was EXTREMELY dirty. As in giant muddy footprints on the ceiling. Since our lighting was going to be along the ceiling, this was a huge problem. It took 6 people 3 hours to clean the tent, because PP said that "it was a very busy weekend for parties" and they wouldn't be able to do it themselves. This pushed all the other preparations back and made for a very hectic morning of. There were multiple other problems that would take too long to list. The real reason for this low rating is as follows: After the wedding, my mom sent a list of issues we had- for a young business, this might be hard to hear, but could be potentially very useful. What we got back was an email that basically told us that everything that went wrong on their end was our fault. The owner (Danny) made everything very personal and even said my mom was responsible for some health problems that one of his employees was having. The food was cold because my mother said for it to be ready "at" a certain time, instead of "around". The bar tender used plastic beer cups (at a classy wedding, mind you), because the wine glasses were "dirty" (they were washed but stored in a box, so maybe they had a bit of dust on them. Wipe it off!). I wish this was it- they also used pictures that they took of the tent once it had been cleaned and set up as examples of their work (not product- that would have been fine). The pictures are still up: http://www.facebook.co.... All the tables and decorations were set up by us, and most of them were even handmade by me. I also wrote thank you notes about two months before the event to all of our vendors. They had the audacity to put up this personal communication as a testimonial on facebook. To be fair, I believe it is down now. Save your money and sanity and go someplace else.
