I asked my regular stylist, Jeanie from Pals, to drive to Portland to do my hair for me on the day of the wedding at my hotel. She readily agreed, scheduling appointments until noon and taking the rest of Saturday to come down to help me. Although she only charged me for a normal appointment in the salon, she not only drove down, brought all the necessary tools and products, and patiently worked with me to make sure my hair was exactly the way I wanted it (and would stay that way throughout the evening!), but went way beyond that as well! I was getting ready with the two mothers, my maid of honor and my flower girl and none of them had success doing their own hair and Jeanie graciously offered to help ALL FOUR of them get the style and accessories and everything they wanted with their hair, without asking for any more money. She stayed all day, helping keep us calm and on-track (having been at more wedding preparations than any of us before), and even took care of little details that could have ended disastrously had she not been there (such as steaming/pressing part of my wedding dress that didn't look good just in time for me to put it on and take pictures). Jeanie from Pals was my best vendor and really saved the day! Highly recommended!!
I should also note that because she regularly cuts and styles my hair we did not do a "hair rehearsal" appointment ahead of time, but I'm sure if you're not a regular client she would meet with you before the big day.
