Honestly, I don't know what I was thinking… I don't know how I planned to have people pay for their parking, or where I should change or how to decorate the tables… I am a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants person, and I anticipated doing as much on my wedding day (and yes, I was the BRIDE, who apparently isn't supposed to do anything on her wedding day!). Cheri and P.S. I love you was a last minute addition to my wedding day, and now I know that my day would have been a COMPLETE disaster without her there! I didn't have to do anything-she took care of it all, and I almost forgot she was even there (except for when she made me eat a granola bar pre ceremony because she noticed I hadn't eaten much). I received so many complements from my guests as to how wonderful she was in all of the things she did (turns out she decorated our tables, helped organize the food area, set up my flower arrangements, directed the parking attendants, put on the music, guided my photographers, and helped hide me from the groom!). But I think the best part about Cheri's presence at my wedding was her ability to think quickly on the spot, remain calm, and persuade me to do the same: I had planned to make my bouquet out of silk flowers, but hadn't even gotten it done by the time we got to the venue. I was trying to arrange them there, but the stems were too long and I didn't have anything really awesome to cut them with. I did have a pair of Fiskars orange handled scissors, so I tried those, but couldn't really get them to work. I asked my photographer to help, and he was so strong (and the flowers so stubborn) that he broke the scissors!! Well, there went my plan to have a beautiful bouquet :( Cheri found out and collected roses from the tables she had set up and fashioned me a bouquet before I even had time to get upset about it! I was so shocked! My bouquet was awesome and my tables still looked really great!
