DJ Pete was all of them--professional, punctual, responsive, his work quality was AMAZING, and his services were affordable!! He brought the best music to our wedding, and even brought the dance floor inside when it started to rain!

I had hired One Day Music to DJ my wedding in August, working with Pete Semon in planning and communicating and having Terry Green as our DJ. Both showed tremendous professionalism and were great to work with. I would absolutely work with them again, even outside of work for weddings.

DJ Pete was very responsive when it came to planning, payments, etc. He played good music and staged a really awesome exit for us - it was clear that he had listened through our requests and planned accordingly.

Issues only arose on the day of the wedding. We had agreed on an arrival time a week prior - come day of, I looked around and had to ask "Where's DJ Pete? He was supposed to be here - can someone call him??" which is not a thought you want to have an hour before your ceremony. He answered and let us know that he was unaware of a major highway closure - yet made no contact with us to update/inform us of his delayed arrival. Luckily, he made it in time and the ceremony carried on.

Later in the evening, we had some complications with DJ Pete making some of our other vendors upset - so my brother had to step in and be a mediator between them all (this is why a wedding coordinator is the way to go!). There was one slip up in information around us wanting to enter our cocktail hour, and him thinking that we were making a grand entrance for dinner (which wasn't for another 45mins). DJ Pete came up to me (the bride) to say to me "You know dinner doesn't start for another 45mins, right??". Yes, I was aware. We were just wanting to enter amongst mingling guests, but he had instructed them all to sit down which made for a weird limbo transition for 30-45 minutes until dinner was ready. However, I acknowledge this more as a communication error. We had given him the basic timeline of major events throughout the night - but now I know the hour by hour detailed timeline is what was really needed. This should be communicated to future clients.

All in all, One Day Music Service is definitely on the affordable side - but you get what you pay for. I enjoyed the music, and that's what was most important. I recommend if you hire this service, to be very clear with timeline/instructions even though he may not ask.
