Emerald City Sound was the perfect choice for our wedding. Matt had great communication - he was professional and easy to work with. He brought his own sound and lighting equipment which was perfect for the entire evening. We felt completely taken care of throughout the whole process.

We also appreciated how Matt really took our preferences into account. Our intent with the reception was to dance nonstop and Matt made that happen - we're still getting compliments about how fun the playlist was and how no one left the dance floor. We could not recommend Emerald City Sound more.

We used Matt as the DJ at our wedding. He was fantastic! He was professional, organized, and easy to work with. Every cue was hit and the sound quality was great. EVERYONE got on the dance floor because of how well he DJed the dance potion of the night. He took our input but also added some crowd requests that had everyone singing and dancing for hours. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a DJ!

Matt is a fantastic DJ and emcee. He was very communicative, and sent us a google doc early on for us to make song requests. He honored our song requests and did not play anything that we did not want him to.

His equipment is top notch, and the level of the music was always appropriate. He also was super helpful when our reception was interrupted with a guest medical emergency. He helped make announcements, and get the party back going again.

He had our guests partying up to the last minute of our reception.

Matt was so fun and so great to work with!! He was very communicative and made sure that he had an idea of exactly what we were looking for! He did an amazing job curating music that got everybody out on the dance floor, starting with getting all the grandparents out there and then playing some hits for the “younger folks”. He had the whole crowd happy the entire night!! He also did a great job as emcee and making any necessary announcements! Overall it was so stress free and easy and fun to work with him and I would have him DJ any event in the future!! Thanks Matt!!

It was great working with Matt for our wedding and we would highly recommend him for any wedding or event. Communication was excellent and he had the perfect playlist for each part of our wedding. He was happy to accommodate our indoor/outdoor venue and seamlessly rolled with accidental changes in the ceremony so that guests didn't notice that things hadn't gone exactly to plan! Everybody had so much fun during the dance party and the music/lighting was perfect. Hope to work with him again!

Matt was highly professional from start to finish. He communicated very well all along the way.
On the day of the wedding Matt came extra early, dressed in a suit(even though we didn't ask him too - so it was much appreciated) and made sure everything is set up. Our wedding was outdoors and it rained during our ceremony. Matt was there standing in the rain to hold the remote microphone receiver and make sure everything works well.
He played our playlist but was also able to pick up on our music taste and add more songs (we said we are flexible). The party was amazing and he even stayed a bit extra for us.
We would highly recommend hiring Matt as your DJ! You won't regret it.

Matt came out to Thornewood Castle to DJ for us and he was awesome! The guests loved the songs he played and we all had so much fun dancing. I was only ever in contact with him by email and phone (since I live in Vegas) and he was prompt and quick with responses :) It was definitely a breeze working with him and it was great to finally meet him in person on our wedding day. Don’t hesitate! Definitely give him the chance to DJ for your wedding too!

Matt at Emerald City Sound was the BEST DJ and I would recommend him to anybody.

Going into wedding planning, my fiance and I were trying to find ways to save money. We went back and forth on whether or not we wanted to hire a DJ, and looking back, I couldn't imagine our wedding day without Matt. He was a huge part of what made our day run so smoothly, by giving annoucements after the ceremony, helping our guests know what was coming next, providing mics for our officiant and toasts, releasing tables to dinner, and providing the most fun on the dance floor.

We were able to pick all the songs we wanted for all the different parts of the day, including dinner, cocktail hour, and the pre-ceremony. We let Matt take the lead in picking out songs for the dance floor, and he picked out the best songs to dance to and kept the energy so fun.

After our amazing experience, I would 100% recommend Matt to anybody.
