  Ferndale Wedding, Amazing Experience!!

  Matt was so fun and so great to work with!! He was very communicative and made sure that he had an idea of exactly what we were looking for! He did an amazing job curating music that got everybody out on the dance floor, starting with getting all the grandparents out there and then playing some hits for the “younger folks”. He had the whole crowd happy the entire night!! He also did a great job as emcee and making any necessary announcements! Overall it was so stress free and easy and fun to work with him and I would have him DJ any event in the future!! Thanks Matt!!

  Best Experience with a DJ

  Matt was absolutely wonderful the whole process!
  He made the wedding go smoothly and came to speak with us about suggestions for our timeline and how to make announcements. He was so incredibly helpful and we cannot be more happy about our decision!

  Wouldn’t change a thing!

  We couldn’t be more pleased with Matt and the huge impact he had on our wedding being so successful. He was communicative; he was collaborative; and he found the perfect match of playing incredible music at the perfect times, It was the flawless blend of nonstop enjoyable music that faded into the background when necessary, but which turned up the party when it was time. More dancing than I’ve seen at a wedding in a long time. He also did an incredible job with uplighting. 10/10, THANK YOU MATT.

  Perfect choice!

  It was great working with Matt for our wedding and we would highly recommend him for any wedding or event. Communication was excellent and he had the perfect playlist for each part of our wedding. He was happy to accommodate our indoor/outdoor venue and seamlessly rolled with accidental changes in the ceremony so that guests didn't notice that things hadn't gone exactly to plan! Everybody had so much fun during the dance party and the music/lighting was perfect. Hope to work with him again!

  Best DJ we could have asked for!

  Matt was highly professional from start to finish. He communicated very well all along the way.
  On the day of the wedding Matt came extra early, dressed in a suit(even though we didn't ask him too - so it was much appreciated) and made sure everything is set up. Our wedding was outdoors and it rained during our ceremony. Matt was there standing in the rain to hold the remote microphone receiver and make sure everything works well.
  He played our playlist but was also able to pick up on our music taste and add more songs (we said we are flexible). The party was amazing and he even stayed a bit extra for us.
  We would highly recommend hiring Matt as your DJ! You won't regret it.

  Thornewood Castle Wedding (April 30, 2022)

  Matt came out to Thornewood Castle to DJ for us and he was awesome! The guests loved the songs he played and we all had so much fun dancing. I was only ever in contact with him by email and phone (since I live in Vegas) and he was prompt and quick with responses :) It was definitely a breeze working with him and it was great to finally meet him in person on our wedding day. Don’t hesitate! Definitely give him the chance to DJ for your wedding too!

  I would 100% recommend Matt at Emerald City Sound to anybody looking for an amazing wedding DJ!

  Matt at Emerald City Sound was the BEST DJ and I would recommend him to anybody.
  
  Going into wedding planning, my fiance and I were trying to find ways to save money. We went back and forth on whether or not we wanted to hire a DJ, and looking back, I couldn't imagine our wedding day without Matt. He was a huge part of what made our day run so smoothly, by giving annoucements after the ceremony, helping our guests know what was coming next, providing mics for our officiant and toasts, releasing tables to dinner, and providing the most fun on the dance floor.
  
  We were able to pick all the songs we wanted for all the different parts of the day, including dinner, cocktail hour, and the pre-ceremony. We let Matt take the lead in picking out songs for the dance floor, and he picked out the best songs to dance to and kept the energy so fun.
  
  After our amazing experience, I would 100% recommend Matt to anybody.

  Excellent wedding DJ at a great price

  We loved working with Matt at Emerald City Sound. I first heard his work at my sister's wedding and then hired him for my own. He has an awesome selection of music that people really like-- a good mix of great dancey beats and those nostalgic wedding classics. He was very accommodating with our requests including setting up an indoor/outdoor dance space, adding songs the day of, and he was truly a delight to work with. Highly recommend.

  Matt was so great to work with! He was flexible with our "package" we purchased, set-up at our venue and was super easy to communicate with. He allowed us the option to input our song list requests a few weeks in advance for all parts of the day (ceremony, pre-ceremony, dancing etc) and had great suggestions for us as well, or we could have him choose the songs. We got great reviews from our guests after the wedding that he did a phenomenal job with our dancing music!! Would definitely recommend him to others!

  Easy to work with and great music choices!

  Matt (from Emerald City Sound) was incredibly easy to work with and accommodating as we planned a wedding and replanned due to the pandemic. We are so grateful we were able to find Matt on this site because he was the perfect DJ for our event. Leading up to the event we spoke several times and covered the "do's" and "dont's" of music at our wedding, and he added a fantastic touch to the vibe we were going for during our cocktail hour and dance party towards the end of the event. Matt is friendly, kind, and most of all wants to make sure your event is everything you want. I would recommend him again and again for anyone having an event in the Seattle area. Thank you Matt for making our wedding so much fun!

On the day of, he got to the venue and set up without me even knowing. Our vows could be heard clearly by everyone, the transitions were smooth and the dance floor was a blast. Couldn't say enough good things. PLUS - after the event he sent us a selection of our songs on a zip drive, which now feels like our soundtrack. Highly recommend. (price listed was for 8 hours)

  Awesome DJ!

  We LOVED Matt! Matt Boyer (Emerald City Sound) was recommended by a co-worker, who had him DJ his wedding. My photographer also mentioned how working with Matt has been a joy on several occasions and this wedding was no exception! He effortlessly handled our pre-wedding requests for specific versions of songs or custom shortened songs. During the wedding, he was very professional and set an elegant, but fun tone to the night. Everyone was dancing the night away because of Matt! Also, he expertly handled an obscure song request from my husband's uncle and it became one of the most memorable moments of the night!

He is very friendly and professional, and he made the whole process very easy from our first meeting, to updating playlists, and wedding day correspondence. His package pricing is a great value for his high quality services, and we would absolutely recommend him! He played all the songs we wanted to hear and filled in the rest! He was great at reading the room for our high energy crowd! Everyone had a blast! Matt was a great emcee as well, he was on top of all the announcements and timeline for our day, and everything between the various vendors ran so smoothly! Thank you so much Matt!!!

  Above and Beyond!

  I did a lot of research when looking for a DJ for my wedding. Matt (Emerald City Music) showed up multiple times as a top ten DJ in the seattle area and I know why! From the beginning Matt was awesome! He was professional and prompt when I had questions. His set up at the venue looked professional and his MC skills were great! He had everyone from all age groups out on the dance floor! I highly recommend Matt for your wedding!

  10/10 would hire again & highly recommend

  Matt did an UNBELIEVABLE job for us on our day! We gave him a very short list of songs that were "must plays" and pretty much left the rest up to him. He did such a great job reading the room and playing a lot of crowd pleasers, as well as changing the vibe upon request. I would absolutely hire Matt again and will definitely recommend him to any/all of our friends that are tying the knot. 10/10 would recommend!

He did such a great job reading the room and playing a lot of crowd pleasers, as well as changing the vibe upon request. I would absolutely hire Matt again and will definitely recommend him to any/all of our friends that are tying the knot. 10/10 would recommend!

  Emerald City Sound MADE our Wedding into a Party!

  Emerald City Sound truly set the tone of the evening. They made our wedding transform from a reception to a party. Everyone was dancing, and I mean EVERYONE. We worked with Matt and he was extremely easy to work with and made the process seamless. He took our preferences and ran with them. As an added bonus he gave us the playlist he curated afterwards so it feels like the gift that keeps on giving. We 100% would recommend them to anyone.

  Matt was a great DJ!

  Matt from Emerald City Sound was an amazing DJ. Our wedding day was even better thanks to his professional but friendly approach. He had some great suggestions to maximize our timeline which made the flow of the evening even better. The music was awesome!

  Wedding music!

  Where to start?? We actually found Matt (Emerald City Sound) on wedding wire and we are so lucky!! He was so amazing to work with!! Music was definitely an area I was a little stressed in (bride issues), but Matt quickly put me at ease. He was always quick to communicate and asked questions that I hadn’t even thought of. He sent us an excel sheet to get our specific ceremony songs in and list any other input that made our night unique to us. I especially thought it was genius to have a “do not play list”! So funny, and we did put some songs on that list. We met up prior to the wedding just to sit down briefly and make sure we were all on the same page. We got to hear how he made our bride/groom first dance flow so well (and the demo gave us a chance to practice a little dance we put together!) During our ceremony, we had two singers come up for one song and Matt did a great job at having everything set up for them and being super flexible with that. There are so many great things I could say but my two biggest take aways...1) the music was wonderful and flowed so smoothly [the ceremony songs and the dance music]. We had many people commenting to us on how much they enjoyed the music, 2) Matt was an absolute joy to work with and the experience was so fun!! I would definitely recommend him to anyone else and I’m so grateful for all he did to make our night so awesome!!

  Matt was so easy to work with and made our event really special! He did a great job incorporating mixing our requests with what he knows will work to get the party started. He's a no-ego MC with the right amount of energy to get guests to listen and stay organized, but he doesn't make it about himself and keeps the focus on the couple. We appreciate he also really rolled with the punches and was flexible when our event space had a few hiccups. Matt also gave us an zip drive with our playlist to keep. We really had a great experience and would hire Matt for an event again!
