A dear friend gave me this advice when I was about to get married, "you better like your wedding photographer, because you're going to be spending all day together." The good news is, Olivia is not only talented, she is funny, empathetic, calm, and an AMAZING person to be around. After careful consideration of photographers for our wedding, we chose Olivia Leigh Photographie for our special day and we are so glad we did! Olivia was such a pleasure to work with and made the day so easy and laid back. My husband and I absolutely adore Olivia!! We were first pointed in her direction from a photography-obsessed friend who’s been following her blog for years and while it’s obvious no amount of praise can do her work as much justice as her own portfolio can – I’m still going to rave over what a joy it was to work with Olivia.

We were drawn to her crazypants talent - her photojournalistic style, amazing attention to detail, celebration of light & color, and ability to capture very real emotions (both of tenderness and sheer joy). Do yourself a favor and spend some time looking through her body of work…the consistency and quality is really mind-blowing. My husband and I were ecstatic with how our wedding album and collection of photos (from our engagement session in Philadelphia, rehearsal dinner/traditional Korean tea ceremony at Fulton’s on the River, and ceremony/reception at the Chicago Cultural Center) all came together. But the thing we were most appreciative of was her level of professionalism, which I’m sure most couples would agree is what differentiates the good from great vendors.

In a heightened stress environment, such as a wedding – it takes more than just artistic talent to give peace of mind. Here is where I truly believe Olivia excels. Just a few of things that jumped out at us - she handled shooting a large wedding party well, was flexible in regards to locations (both during the e-session in Philadelphia and during the wedding weekend to accommodate various logistical hiccups due to the NATO summit), was amazing at managing our expectations, kept in constant communication, and was really just a blast to hang out with.

Last night my husband and I looked through our wedding album for the first time and it literally brought tears to our eyes. Olivia captured some amazing moments that we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives, and we’ll forever be grateful for her being such a pivotal part of our celebration.

Olivia was a joy to work with! She was extremely helpful when it came to planning the wedding---great vendor recommendations and ideas for photo locations in the city. We live in San Francisco, but our wedding was in Chicago which made planning difficult. Olivia's knowledge of the wedding industry and her experience helped us tremendously. Our wedding photos are INCREDIBLE! She captured so many beautiful family moments throughout the day that I would have completely missed! Many of our guests commented on how professional and fun she was. Her artistic eye and photojournalistic style sets her apart from traditional wedding photographers. I would highly recommend her!

After all of our phone calls to friends and family sharing our happy engagement news, the first thing that I did was show my then-fiancé Olivia's blog. As a photography fanatic, I had been following her work for awhile and knew instantly that I wanted her to take engagement photos for us. We did, and we loved them. Over the next two years of our looo-ng engagement, we kept in contact with Olivia and asked her to photograph our wedding. I can't explain how wonderful it was to have her there on our wedding day - and how thrilled we are with our photos. Her background was in fine art which you can see throughout her photo style. She is also the sweetest , most professional person that makes you feel very at ease on a crazy wedding day or during your first photo shoot together during the connection session. I am definitely not the only one that notices her talent as her photos have been featured in numerous magazines. Thank goodness my best friend caught a glimpse of her blog when my now husband I were just engaged. I need a bigger house to host all those lovely wedding photos. It's almost a little sad we won't get to work with her again in the near future, but I hope other brides that value photographer as a top priority for their wedding, get the opportunity to work with Olivia.

We loved working with Olivia with our wedding photography in October. My fiance and I had a semi-awkward meeting because as it turned out we had very different views of what we wanted for our wedding photos. Olivia did a great job of taking beautiful shots that pleased both of our preferences. Olivia was always happy to answer my questions via e-mail and made us both feel confident that we had made the right decision in who we hired. We just received our photos back last week and we are both so so so incredibly happy with everything. The details, the range of shots...everything is just perfect.
