The Old Stone School is situated just outside the eastern town limits of Hillsboro, Virginia on Route 9. The original building was built in 1874 which housed one of the first public schools in Loudoun County called Originally, Locust Grove Academy. Though it operated as a school until 1966 when Hillsboro Elementary opened, it now serves as a community center where the non-profit Hillsboro Community Association, which manages and maintains the building, hosts events and activities. The building may also be rented for special events, business meetings, workshops, and more!
