The place was absolutely amazing and affordable. We took the NO RUSH PLUS package, had our rehearsal dinner there and stayed all weekend . They were there the whole time getting things perfect for our wedding. The owner and manager are so easy to talk to and helpful.

What an enchanted venue!
We were able to book a small wedding (45 attendees) with fairly short notice. Everything was PERFECT! The grounds are very clean and well maintained with flower buds just appearing. The beautiful, spacious house was comfortable and suited the bride and her entourage perfectly. Everything was ready for the wedding when we arrived so set-up was a snap. We just added a few decorations in the bride's colors, arranged the flowers and had the wedding in the pavillion. So simple!
After the ceremony, wedding photos of the bride and groom were taken around the grounds, on the porch and in the house. Old Omen House has so many gorgeous photo opportunities, it is difficult to choose the best place for photos.
Refreshments were served in the pavilion. The kitchen, although small, had ample room to do whatever preparation was necessary. Many of the guests toured the house after the wedding and were amazed at how nice it was.
Celia and Bruce were fantastic to work with. They made certain that everything was just perfect for the wedding. The price was very reasonable, especially compared to other local wedding venues. Overall, this was the best wedding I have ever attended. We couldn't have asked for a better place than Old Omen House.

This venue is absolutely beautiful, we were able to use it for our entire stay as well as our wedding, which truly helped for wedding party gathering and set up. The house has everything you need in the way of your daily life ( kitchen, washer, dryer, etc. ) as well, making our stay even more comfortable. The rooms are beautiful and the beds extremely comfortable, every detail giving this house a very luxurious feel. On the day of the wedding, Miss Celia was beyond prepared and extremely helpful when it came to getting the Pavillion ready for the wedding itself. I can see this venue hosting family reunions, company picnics, Christmas parties, or maybe just a nice weekend away. Everything and everyone was amazing!

This was the best! Beautiful spot for a wedding and perfect for the family gathering. My daughter's wedding went off without a hitch thanks to Celia and her crew. Of all the venues we visited, The Old Omen House provides the perfect spot at an affordable price. Recommend all prospective brides to take a look!

Renter BEWARE!! My husband was kind enough to plan a surprise party for my birthday. My mother was diagnosed with cancer and was beginning to decline. My husband knowing that I wanted to be with my mom in Illinois told me about the party and we decided that it would be best to cancel. Even though he signed a contract with Old Omen House he felt that they would under the circumstances refund part of the $2200 that they were paid especially since he let them know a month and a half in advance. They told him that they were not going to refund any of the monies. I called and spoke with the manager and she said that there was nothing that they could do no matter what the circumstances. I asked to speak with the owner. It took weeks to receive a return call. He was very short with me and not in the least bit understanding about my situation. He said that he can't afford to loose the $2,200 that we paid him. I asked if he would consider even a portion and he still refused and was very condescending to me. I mentioned to him that not only is this an unfortunate circumstance but my mother lives far away and that I would really like a portion of the money back so that I could apply it towards my airfare. He laughed and once again refused to give back any part of the money. I was very upset with of the lack of consideration for my circumstances. We did not get to finish the conversation since we were disconnected. I called back but he would not answer. I called the manager for months after this and she promised to pass the message on to have the owner call me back. After all of this time still no response. When my mom passed away on Christmas Eve I was with her. I called the manager again to beg for part of the money to be refunded so that I could fly my children to Illinois for the funeral. Once again the manager refused and no word from the owner. BE CAREFUL signing a contract with these people. They have to be the most inconsiderate people that I have met!
