Ash suggested some amazing places for our photo shoot. I said I wanted it casual and fun and she definitely delivered! The session was so fun, I didn't want it to end. Not only is she professional but she is also amazing at placement and this uncanny way of predicting and anticipated our moves and caught the most amazing moments that defined our meeting! Ashley is not only an incredible photographer, but all around an amazing person! My husband and I eloped to NOLA and without ever meeting in person, Ashley immediately made us feel comfortable. I am not generally someone who loves attention or being photographed, but Ashley was very patient and supportive. Not only was she able to improvise to help my husband pull off an amazing surprise of having our friends and family at the chapel when we got there. She also, unprompted, got a pedicab for my MIL because she wasn’t going to be able to walk in the second line parade due to a knee injury. Instead of letting her leave to drive to the restaurant, she ensured all our most important people were there and participating while still managing to get so many beautiful shots of everything. She gives clear direction when it is needed and also allows for the moment to take its course. She caught so many candid moments that really showcase who we are as a couple and who we are with our friends and family. She goes above and beyond, she advocates, encourages, and really knows what she is doing. I cannot recommend her enough, I couldn’t imagine our wedding weekend without her. Our friends and family even noticed how attentive, informative, and warm she is. She is an extremely talented photographer and overall just great company for such an important moment in our lives. Ashley at Nola Darlings is an absolute gem of a human and a photographer. This was a destination wedding and we had one trusted referral and we rolled with it. And, boy, are we glad we did! From our first look at a wine bar (my idea as a wino!), to our walk through the Quarter, to our beautiful ceremony, SECOND LINE and reception, Ashley was working solo non-stop, capturing ALL the moments. Wow, where to begin?!? Ashley is absolutely EVERYTHING!!!!!! She is the best wedding/engagement photographer in the entire world! My husband initially booked her for secret proposal shots, and then after plans changed he rebooked her for our engagement shoot instead! As two people who are not very comfortable in front of the camera, Ashley quickly put all our nervousness to rest. She was funny, friendly, and immediately made us feel like a friend was just taking our picture! After seeing how beautiful the shots came out there was ZERO question that she was the best choice for our wedding as well!!

Fast forward one year and Ashley was honestly one of my favorite parts of our wedding day!! Again she put any nervous energy to rest and made me feel completely comfortable during our pre-ceremony shots. My bridal party absolutely adored her, and we all had so much fun hanging out taking pictures as we got ready. Finally, nothing could’ve prepared me for how much I LOVE our full wedding album!!! She got our pictures back to us SO quickly and they were better than I could’ve ever imagined! Ashley was absolutely AMAZING!!! We got married in November of 2020. Needless to say trying to pull of a wedding during the pandemic was quite the feat. She was one of the first vendors we booked before the pandemic hit and the ONLY original vendor that stuck with us to the very end. Look no further. My fiance and I booked Ash for an engagement shoot while we were in New Orleans. We knew Nola Darlings was the one from the minute we found their website. From the moment we met up at Armstrong Park we felt comfortable and seen. Ash provided a great atmosphere to help capture amazing moments and some of our favorite parts of NOLA. Just last night we looked at our album and wished we could fly Ash out for our wedding in October as we have no doubt every moment would be captured perfectly. Great quality. Great pricing, and a great person to work with! She did our engagement photos and our wedding photos. We couldn't be happier with how the photos came out! I chose her because out of all the portfolios I looked at, she was the only one to feature REAL people (not just people who look like models). I'm no model and tend to be very uncomfortable in front of a camera, but she's really good at helping people feel comfortable in their own skin and highlighting someone's unique beauty. She just puts you at ease and the results are amazing! Very responsive and professional, but really fun too! The kind of person you would want at your wedding even if she wasn't the photographer. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in need of professional photos!

My wife and I took our engagement photos with Ashley in December of 2020 and it was the best Christmas present ever! It was so relaxed and fun to spend the day in New Orleans.
