We hired Nittany Catering for our wedding in May 2021 and we were absolutely thrilled with our decision! The staff frequently communicated with us prior to the wedding to create a very detailed plan so everything would run smoothly. They even took the time to visit my venue ahead of time so there were no surprises. This amount of preparation made me feel at ease leading up to my wedding. The day of the wedding, Nittany catering staff were very professional and everyone absolutely loved the food! It was all delicious and portion sizes were great. I still get compliments about how much people enjoyed their meal and cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres. I can't thank Nittany Catering enough and I highly recommend them for your wedding or event!

Rachel and her staff were wonderful to work with. Rachel helped each step of the way to guide us on food choices/ amounts. The food was delicious!

We were delighted with their services. They came to our home to cook sample dishes before we chose the menu and were very flexible with menu packages. Our guests raved about the quality of the food and we were extremely pleased with how efficient they were with getting set up and broken down again.

I gave myself a full month to calm down before I wrote this review.

Unfortunately for me, I do not look back at my wedding reception with happiness. This is almost 85% because of the bar staff, 15% because the food provided by Nittany Catering did not receive great reviews from my family and they did not (in my opinion) have large enough portion sizes.

I think mainly about how I overheard a bar tender (selected by Nittany Catering) tell a family member to "Go F*** yourself". I get it. People were rowdy. However, I also paid for bus transport for all of my guests and my immediate family were all staying on site at the wedding venue.

I do believe the bar tenders have the right to cut any person off at any point, but I do not believe in the use of profanity especially at a wedding, especially in front of the bride. I literally made eye contact with whoever that bar tender was.

To make matters worse, the staff were not even aware of who my immediate family was. I think because of one bad drunk person the bar tenders essentially decided to cut off the entire wedding. Yes, I'll admit, my husband's side of the family did have one very bad drunk. Yes, please cut that person off. My dad and uncle were not drunk to the point of stumbling and were not belligerent with staff, but they were also cut off...at 9:00 pm.

Also, it really bothered me that the custom cocktails were not made correctly. I was assured that they would be. Nittany Catering was in charge of providing the lemonade for the mixed drinks. Somehow, even though I planned out exactly how much vodka to lemonade ratio, we had 2 full bottles of sweet tea vodka left, but no more lemonade? I was not happy when I was told that I could not have a signature drink because there wasn't any lemonade left. I probably only had 3 drinks the whole night.

If I could go back, I would choose a different caterer, especially one that lets you taste test their menu, that should've been a dead give away.

We used Nittany Catering for a bartending service during our wedding on June 1st 2019 near Howard, PA. Setting up the service was a pleasure as the ladies on the phone were helpful and a reassuring to speak to. Emily and Rachel were great! However the bartender we received was pathetic. The bartender broke a bottle of wine and left some of the drinks out in the hot sun when they should have been under shade or refrigerated. It was clear this guy had no idea what he was doing. As the groom, I was very dissatisfied to see our bartender's underwear while everyone was all dressed up and enjoying the festivities. His clothing was loose and unprofessional as were his interactions with guests. Multiple family members and wedding guests came up to me asking, "Where did you find this idiot?" Or, "Hope you didn't pay much for the bartender, he's got no clue what to do." We are very disappointed in the service we received at this price point. Please do not use this service for bartending.
