I got the bridal package (hair and makeup) from New Beginning Salon Spa. Sara did my hair and was SO sweet and very attentive! Sophie did my makeup and did a great job, listened to all that I asked! I would recommend them to anyone!

Sarah Jane did my wedding hair and makeup for my big day. We had a practice session about a month before-hand so we both knew exactly what we to expect. She is a Master Stylist and does a fabulous job. Everything held beautifully not just the whole day and into the night--but I was able to wear my hair that whole next day on an airplane without looking like a nightmare. Because I booked months and months in advance, I was able to get in where I needed to, but if you're a last minute bride booking with Sarah Jane is going to be a nightmare for you because she fills up FAST (a hard price to pay when you're amazing). The other stylists at the salon did the hair of 4 of my bridesmaids and did a lovely job as well--they ranged from Junior to Master Stylists but they communicated perfectly and everyone looked beautiful. Price wise, it's a bit on the heavy side, BUT keep in mind that the quality for your big day should be perfect, so the price did include a practice session for both hair and makeup to make sure that there weren't any surprised on the big day. I love my salon and I love the girls that work there--not only are they great at what they do, but they love what they do, and it really shows.

I had booked a beautician to do my hair and makeup. However, at the last minute she changed the time on me and it wouldn't work with the time of my wedding. So, with just a few days before my wedding I was scrambling to find someone. I got a hold of New Beginnings right away and they were able to get me in with little notice. I scheduled a makeup lesson and a hair consultation for the day before my wedding. They saved the day...well partially.

The beautician, who I had my makeup lesson with, was awesome! She listened to what I wanted as far as makeup and made suggestions. When I told her I was on a budget, she told me what I could go without purchasing and where to find suitable alternates. I left the makeup lesson feeling confident and had purchased all of the needed supplies for the next day.

However, I was supposed to have my hair consultation next and they said they had me scheduled for a week later (when I would be on my honeymoon). This was after I had scheduled both of the appointments for the same day within the course of the same phone call. I told them that I was supposed to have one right after the other and they said they could get me in later in the day. However, with all of the things we had to do the day before the wedding, there just wasn't time. So, I ended up without professional guidance on my hair for my wedding.

A friend of mine, who frequents the salon, told me the scheduling snafu may have been the result of a new receptionist and I am not sure if that receptionist is still working there.
