Musical Heart Strings is a professional ensemble in Martinez, California, available to perform at weddings and other special occasions. Founders Kerry Borgen and Gretchen Egen have been performing music together for 20 years, including jazz, pop, rock and roll, and the occasional heavy metal. With influence from the Vitamin String Quartet, all of Musical Heart Strings’ music are original arrangements, making their compositions and covers unique to their ensemble.
Services Offered
Musical Heart Strings’ compositions are for an instrumental duo, a soloist, or a trio, as well as string quartet and trio. They are fully insured and can play compositions using the cello, piano, viola, and violin. They have anywhere from one to five musicians available for your event, depending on the style composition you’d like performed. Musical Heart Strings can perform acoustically, using foot percussion, and with amplification.

Musical Heart Strings duo, Gretchen and Kerry, never cease to impress me with their wide range of music from the classics to one-of-a-kind arrangements by client request.
