We are truly grateful for Music in Tahoe for making our wedding the most epic party! We had Isaac as our dinner and reception DJ, and two live musicians - Lucas on the guitar and Karl on the saxophone - for our ceremony and cocktail hour. We have so many great things to say about all three of them.

My now husband and I share a deep bond over music and we knew we wanted a DJ who had the same love and passion for music as we do. Isaac was our guy - from the beginning he was very involved in getting a sense of our music taste, walking through song selections prior to the wedding and validating the timing of when songs would be played. He even remade the song we chose as our first dance to cut out the first verse (at our request) and made the intro flow into the first chorus perfectly. His execution was flawless and our guests could have danced all night. We received so many compliments on the music and we owe it all to Isaac.

We also want to give a big shout out to the live musicians, Lucas and Karl. Lucas is an incredibly talented guitarist. He learned the songs we wanted for our processional and bridal walk (in an impressively short amount of time) and played them live beautifully. Karl is also an amazing saxophonist. Both he and Lucas were the best duo for the live music played throughout our cocktail hour.

We cannot recommend Isaac Freed and Music in Tahoe highly enough. They provided the live music, DJ, and AV services for our August wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, and the music ended up being one of the absolute highlights of the entire wedding.

Isaac Freed was incredibly easy to work with throughout the planning process. Communication was simple, coordination was seamless, and he put together an incredible group of musicians for us. Music in Tahoe also handled AV throughout the event, and everything was completely flawless. Sound, microphones, music, and transitions simply worked exactly as they were supposed to, which is one of those things you appreciate enormously at a wedding.

For our ceremony and cocktail hour, we had Dani Sion and Milton Merlos performing live strings, and they were exceptional. They are tremendously talented artists and created exactly the atmosphere we wanted for those parts of the wedding. They were also kind enough to learn songs specifically for our event, which made the ceremony feel incredibly personal. Their music was elegant and beautiful without ever feeling stuffy, and it fit the setting at the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe perfectly.

And then there was Max Giesler.

Max was our wedding DJ, and he was absolutely incredible.

We wanted the reception to turn into a real party, not just a wedding where a handful of people dance while everyone else watches. Max somehow created a genuinely multigenerational dance floor and kept it packed all night. Getting a large group of people to collectively find their rhythm is no small professional accomplishment, but Max managed it.

More seriously, Max really understands how to DJ. He does not just play a generic list of songs. He knows how to mix music, read a room, build momentum, transition between generations and genres, and keep the energy moving without making the night feel forced. He seemed to know exactly when to change direction, when to let a song breathe, and when to take the energy up another level.

The dance floor was absolutely electric.

We had an incredible time, and our guests kept commenting on the music throughout the night and afterward. Multiple people told us it was the best music they had ever heard at a wedding. We had guests from different generations with completely different tastes in music all dancing together, which is exactly what we hoped for and is incredibly difficult to pull off well.

Nobody wanted the night to end.

That is probably the best summary of what Max accomplished. When the reception was over, people were not checking their watches or slowly filtering out. They wanted more.

Music in Tahoe gave us the best of both worlds. Dani Sion and Milton Merlos provided beautiful live music that elevated our ceremony and cocktail hour, Max Giesler completely transformed the reception into the party we wanted, and the AV production throughout the entire event was seamless. Isaac Freed made coordinating all of it incredibly easy.

The music was one of the things our guests talked about most after the wedding, and there is genuinely nothing we would have changed. Music in Tahoe absolutely crushed it.

Isaac was a godsend! He learned a song , on his guitar, for our processional walk! He is a kind funny fun loving down to earth talented guy, loved everything about him and the vibes he brought to our wedding. He knew exactly how to read the room and keep the party going. As cliche as it is, our wedding was the best day of my life, and Isaac had no small part in making that magic happen!

Music in Tahoe is the BEST! We had such a fantastic experience working with Isaac throughout the wedding planning process, and he really delivered on our wedding day! I really appreciated Isaac's flexibility as we changed our package multiple times before the wedding, ultimately deciding to add live musicians and extend the DJ service until midnight. Isaac was immensely helpful talking us through different options for our ceremony (did we want a pianist? saxophonist? violinist?), and the acoustic guitar & violin duo we decided on was absolutely beautiful. The musicians Isaac found were able to learn and play new songs for our ceremony, including an instrumental version of "Ave Maria" to accompany one of our friends as she sang (they were even willing to rehearse with her beforehand!). He also spent an hour on the phone with me a few weeks before the wedding as I explained exactly what kind of music I wanted at the reception. At the reception, Isaac was a skilled emcee; he knew how to make important announcements without disrupting the flow of the evening and was quick to adjust when timelines shifted and plans changed. He even let one of our friends use his guitar for a song performance. The dance floor was LIT all night, packed with people dancing and singing, and we heard from so many people that it was one of the most fun weddings they'd ever been to. Isaac also seamlessly transitioned from our outdoor reception to our indoor after-party without skipping a beat. We highly recommend Isaac and Music in Tahoe for your wedding or any other event!

All I wanted for my wedding was a great dance party and Isaac delivered that. He had us pick songs we wanted to play and then mixed them into danceable tracks. He is the all in one package since he also sings and plays guitar.

Utilize his guitar and voice for your ceremony and cocktail hour and then let him light up the dancefloor later in the evening for a night you'll never forget! He is truly amazing!

Isaac and Sam with Music in Tahoe were amazing to work with. They were very communicative, responsive, and clear with what was possible/what the different options entailed.

We worked with Sam for our wedding and he's incredibly talented. He took time and care in understanding what we were hoping for, and executed that flawlessly. Music was a very key thing for us, but we wanted to make sure that our guests all got tastes of things they loved as well. Somehow Sam took all of our disjointed requests and put everything together for a smooth, incredible day. ALL guests were on the dance floor all night, thanks to him! He also played the acoustic guitar for the welcome + ceremony, which was amazing and added so much to the ceremony. He's very, very talented.

Music in Tahoe was an amazing team to work with! From the very beginning communication was seamless and we were able to discuss our vision for the music throughout our wedding with both Isaac and Milton. Milton made our wedding so incredibly special. He played beautiful acoustic flamenco guitar during our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour which we felt was such a unique and special touch. When it was time to party he was able to really bring the energy and our dance floor was completely full from beginning to end! Milton is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!! He took our music suggestions and built out the perfect playlist from there and kept the energy high all night long. Dancing with all our family and friends was one of my favorite parts of our night and Milton did an amazing job. He transitioned the songs well, and had great energy.
