Best experience!

Ok, this is the longest review I've ever written in my life, but after the amazing experience, we had it only feels right.

My experience working with Mulloy's, specifically Jeffery, has been nothing short of amazing. Over a year ago while shopping at the Forum with my boyfriend I decided I wanted to "pop in" and look at their rings. I was immediately blown away. I knew an engagement wasn't in the NEAR future, but I had fallen in love with a ring. Despite it being clear we were not looking to buy anytime soon, Jeffrey still patiently and kindly showed us all of the rings we wanted to see.

Over the next year, I would continue to drag my boyfriend into various jewelry stores: big named ones, small ones, online ones, etc. I had started looking at a large Engagement ring company that I had seen all over social media. My boyfriend & I set up an appt to visit one of their brick & mortar stores in La Jolla. After seeing their rings online for so long, I was so excited to see them/try them on in real life.

Almost from the minute we walked in it was one of the more underwhelming, cold experiences I had ever had in a retail store. After getting through two locked doors, we were then shown a display of CZ rings, mostly all in round diamond shapes that looked almost like play jewelry followed by a corporate sales pitch. We learned we would have to blindly purchase a diamond & setting online before we would ever see it in real life. Umm, what?! I was sooo disappointed and confused how this massive company with dazzling social media posts all over the place had such a bland real-life setup. I quickly jumped online to read reviews about people who were stuck in long holding periods to get help with their purchases while they were passed around impersonal customer service members. I knew right away this was not how picking an engagement ring should go.

A few months later I went back into Mulloy's while shopping at the Forum and decided to try on "the ring" I had fallen in the love with. IT WASN'T THERE!! I was so crushed! One of the lovely sales associates brought Jeffery out from the back to see if it had been sold. He found it had been moved to their other location. Jeffrey immediately said he would place a transfer on the ring to have it brought over to this store so I could see it again. I didn't want him to go through the hassle but he insisted it would be no problem at all. three days later, I stopped by and there it was!! Trying it on again after having been to so many other stores completely solidified it all. This was THE ring. I expressed hesitation over the price and Jeffery assured me in the event my boyfriend came back, he would do whatever he could to make him feel comfortable.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, after reading this review-turned-novel-diary-entry, I am thrilled to say this past Saturday my (now) Fiancé Tyler got down on one knee and proposed with the ring of my dreams from Mulloy's. He later told me how incredible Jeffery had been throughout the purchasing process. Never pushy, never salesy, he was just genuinely determined to get this ring on the hand of someone who adored it.

Today I dropped it off to get it resized (sad day! lol) and I walked into what felt like a group of old friends. All of the wonderful associates who had dealt with me coming in and swooning over this ring for the past 18+ months were so excited for me. My gratitude for their customer service, patience, and genuine happiness is hard to express.

Thank you SO much Jeffery for literally helping my LIFE LONG engagement ring dreams come true! I will continue to recommend and send anyone I know to this company for as long as they are around.

We are both so happy to tell people where we got our wedding rings from. We brag about how nice everyone is there and how they provide such individual attention. Each time I've gone in to get the diamonds checked they've always made sure to take the time to actually look at the ring and clean it properly. I've heard so many horror stories about jewelers saying after a year they are unable to continue to check the rings properly.
That's crazy and would never happen here.

We've gone back to purchase other items here before too, and have referred them to a lot of our friends.

Avoid this place!

Bought an estate engagement ring from Mulloy's. Kept it on my finger, but Pauline repeated requested for me to hand it back, but I said no, kept it on my finger & paid for the ring in full. It was too small a size, but I was uncomfortable with Pauline who told me that she needed time to find the paperwork on it & insisted I should have the ring resized & come back tomorrow & she's have the paperwork, too.
We took our receipt, which stated it was set in a platinum band & had a photocopy of the details of the ring. Overnight, my husband wanted me to rethink the idea of having the ring resized with Mulloy's because it was free & we decided to go back.
I noticed that Pauline was more than too happy to take the ring back. She sent us off to come back in 1 hour. We showed up with our receipt, to which she promptly snatched off the counter & shredded it before our eyes, while informing us that they made a mistake & that the band was only 14k, not platinum. She was rude & scoffed at the request for a discount due to the lower cost band & sucked her teeth & sighed at my request to examine the ring again under a loop.
There was 1 extra flaw on the diamond & they were not in the same spot (as shown to me by Mary the 1st day who very nicely showed me to hold the name on the inside of the band facing me to see the two very small spots) & we were in shock.
Pauline & Phil-owner made us feel like we were crazy & showed us our official paperwork belonging to my new ring. Since we had now had no original paperwork because she shredded it & it was paid for in full, we felt we had no recourse & left in shock with the ring.
After getting it appraised from a reputable appraiser, it is found to be inferior to what Mulloy's sold us. AVOID!
