Her style is likened to photojournalism with a modern approach, yet she pays respect to the artform’s roots with her ability to shoot traditional styles.
Services Offered
Monphotography offers couples three packages that provide a number of great services. Depending on which package you choose, coverage on your special day can range from six hours to a full day’s worth. If you decide that one photographer is not enough, a second photographer can be arranged to make sure all your important angles are covered. Items such as wedding albums, high-quality prints, and an online gallery of all your photos can be acquired after your event.

Monika photographed our August 2023 wedding at The Oliver Building in Kansas City, and I would totally recommend her!
We first contacted Monika after seeing her work on The Knot. The quality and style of her images stood out in a crowd of wedding photographers. We were looking for a photographer that was able to capture beautiful pictures in a venue that doesn’t provide a lot of natural light. Monika’s vibe aligned exactly with what we were seeking. After meeting with her, it became clear that we had found a great match, both in terms of style and personality. The connection and ease we found with her shows through in the final product. We are generally very awkward and not pros at posing in front of a camera. Monika knew exactly how to make us feel like we were just hanging out with a friend. We received our “sneak peek” just days after the wedding and the pictures are everything we expected and more! Jeremy and I can’t thank you enough!

Magical experience!
Monika took our engagement photos and wedding and we are blown away! She made everything easy and fun! My husband and I aren’t picture people- both awkward and never know what to do with our hands- but Monika helped guide us and made everything feel really natural! I will cherish our pictures forever and ever and I WILL be working with Monika again!

We do not regret for a second choosing Mon to do our wedding and engagement pictures. She was everything you'd want your photographer to be - creative, personal. considerate, professional, and relaxed. Amazing photographer!
Monika is truly amazing!!! I was extremely nervous to take photos , because I have never had a professional photo shoot done . My fiancé and I enjoyed Monika as she made us feel extremely comfortable and was super down to earth! We got our Engagement pictures back in 3 days and are OBSESSED!!!! 10/10 would recommend. Beautiful wedding photos
Love! Love! Love Monika & MonPhotography. I really can’t say enough great things about our experience with her and her professionalism on our wedding day. Mother Nature definitely through us a curveball with a torrential downpour, but Monika was fantastic and knew just how to handle it. For our wedding party photos, she worked with us on backup plans for photoshoot locations and somehow we were surprisingly able to still get in many outdoor shots (thanks to her creative thinking & umbrellas). At the reception, she really captured the life and love of the party. So great!

Super talented, patient, and amazing photographer!
Monika did an amazing job with our destination wedding! We hired her without ever knowing her. All I had to see was her portfolio and I was sold, not to mention her responsiveness to all communication was great! She captured every memory and then some. We received our photos within 4 weeks of our wedding date, which is incredible timing in my opinion! She was fun, energetic, and made my husband feel comfortable the whole time (he hates taking pictures). I can’t say enough about this girl and her passion for Photography. She has a true gift and talent to offer anyone!

Monphotography is the best!
My husband and I just recently used Monphotography for our wedding and engagement photos and she is hands down the best photographer I have ever worked with. Monika is very professional, artistic and is an absolute joy to work with. We were very comfortable with her throughout the planning stages and during our shoots. She delivered exactly what we wanted on time and above our expectations. We plan on using Monphotography for our next milestones :)

She's magic!
Our wedding day ended up being frigid and was moved inside last minute, but she worked with us and made it happen! Our photos are gorgeous. She thought of everything - from bringing a step stool because my groom is tall to taking the perfect detail shots. Thank you so much, Monika!

Phenomenal Photographer
Monika Herbert the owner of Monphotography is phenomenal! I would highly recommend this photographer not just in Kansas City, but globally. Her attention to detail is impeccable, whether it be a mini-session, wedding, or newborn shoot. Her work is second to none, and the editing skills she has is magical. But all those previously stated positives aside, the owner is friendly and allows you to feel relaxed. (Which can be difficult with a camera in your face) Also, she's reliable and professional and those qualities are hard to find period. You won't be disappointed when selecting Monphotography (Monika Herbert) as your photographer, I definitely have not been. Thanks Monika!
