Ashley and Rob were amazing! My husband and I genuinely loved working with them. They made us feel so comfortable, confident, are very organized, and we love the finished products of both our pictures and video of our big day. I struggled to write this review because my words cannot capture how perfect our experience with Ashley at Moments and Mountains Photograph was, or how perfect the results are.
We met with Ashley several times prior to the wedding. Ashley, my wife and I all “clicked” from the moment we met over Facetime. While we were considering several very skilled photographers, we went with Moments and Mountains because we thought we’d have the most fun with Ashley. We were right.
We had our engagement session at Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon, on a busy Friday evening. In the photos, it looks as if we had the entire bookstore to ourselves. I am an extremely awkward person who is uncomfortable with public displays of affection, and I tire quickly from being on camera. With Ashley as our photographer, we forgot we were on film and just had fun throughout.
After the engagement session, Ashley helped us plan, create a timeline for both a rainy day and sunny weather, and prepare for the big day. Additionally, Ashley found a “second shooter,” who was equally skilled in her photography craft (THANK YOU COURTNEY!)
On the wedding day, Ashley was the stalwart to our mental health, helped keep folks on time and organized, and captured the perfect moments. She made sure we had every special photo we asked for, went through our family formal list with a fine-toothed comb, and consistently checked in with how adventurous we were feeling re. locations for photos (it lessened throughout the evening). In addition to the staged photos, Ashley captured candid photos of our guests and the most important people in our lives in special moments, while dancing, while taking space in the garden, and while looking adoringly at their spouses.
While we got every photo we asked for, and so, so many more, Ashley prioritized our ability to spend quality time with our guests. We cannot recommend Ashley at Moments and Mountains enough. 10/10, next time we get married, we’ll call Ashley again!
