Welcome to Mitchelville Place, where dreams come true and memories are made! We are a brand new venue (rennovations completed in September of 2023), however our in-house wedding coordinators have over 30 years of combined experience hosting weddings and other large events. All you need to do is bring us your vision and we will make it a reality!

Every event at Mitchelville Place is an intimate and personalized event. We only host one wedding per day, and our event fees include design services and access to a large list of preferred vendors to choose from (with juicy discounts pre-negotiated!). We pride ourselves on customer service, and we work with our couples every step of the way to ensure that all the details are in place and that your special day is exactly as you've always imagined it. From providing custom floor plans to coordinating with the planner and trusted vendors, we are here to make your planning process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

​Nestled on 3.5 acres in the heart of Hilton Head Island, our property offers all the natural beauty of the South Carolina Lowcountry: live oak trees, ocean views, and nesting sea birds in our private Ibis Pond. Mitchelville Place is the embodiment of rustic romance and southern charm. Against this background we have designed an Event Venue with a variety of Indoor and Outdoor areas:

• The Main House provides luxury accomodations, a spacious living room, and chef's kitchen.
• The Barn features a Built-in Bar (with two-tap kegorator) and an Indoor Lounge. This space can also serve as meal seating for small events (under 50 guests).
• The Grand Lawn is where most guests have their sit-down or buffet-style meals, providing ample seating for all large events.
• The Grand Deck includes a Gazebo with outdoor seating, Built-In Dancefloor, and the Ibis Bridge, where couples are often photographed against a background of nesting White Ibis seabirds.
• The Fire Pit Lounge is an Outdoor Lounge with ample seating and fire pits that encourage festive and lively conversation!

As an all-inclusive vacation rental property, we also provide overnight accomodations for guests to stay on-property and create memories beyond the rehersal, reception, and ceremony!
