The Mission Bay Conference Center offers over 12,500 square feet of event space and 10 designated meeting spaces, ranging from an executive boardroom to an outdoor patio with beautiful downtown views, banquet rooms, auditoriums and conference rooms. Rental of this venue includes direct access to the picturesque Koret Quad on the UCSF campus. The spacious Fishers Banquet Room can accommodate up to 400 wedding guests comfortably and features modern light fixtures, state-of-the-art A/V technology, and ample room for a dance floor.

Mission Bay was settled by Native Americans until Spanish missionaries began settling the area in 1775 to convert the natives. From 1860 to 1910, the waters of Mission Bay grew smaller and smaller as it was filled with rocks, dirt and debris from the 1906 earthquake to create more land for the growing city. Hosted by UCSF, the Mission Bay Conference Center has become a compelling meeting venue in the center of a still-growing city.

As mentioned in our pre-event review below, we had our daughter's Bat Mitzvah at the MBCC. We almost didn't consider the MBCC as their menu appeared to be somewhat boring for a teenager-focused party. Fortunately, we asked if the menu could be adjusted, and they were more than willing to come up with a custom menu for us -- the appetizers were amazing, the taco bar was incredible, and the dessert table was a kid's dream. Their flexibility on the menu extended to EVERY aspect of the event, with no "nickel-and-diming." They are a first class event facility with everything on hand or available asap: audio-visual didn't work the way we expected the day before the event (our fault) -- no problem, they brought in an amp and speakers. Want to change the color of the napkins and the table layout? No problem -- they'll get whatever color you need. The team -- from the sales manager, to the event manager, to the chef, to the night-of event, service, and bartending staff could not have been any friendlier, any more accommodating or any more competent. Also, the building and spaces are designed by world-famous architect, Ricardo Legorreta so the pictures our photographer was able to get were phenomenal. --------Pre-event review: Our daughter's Bat Mitzvah is upcoming, and we wanted to let people know what a hidden gem the Mission Bay Conference Center at UCSF is. The staff is incredibly nice, flexible and focused on our enjoyment of our daughter's big day. The pricing and amenities are a significant value, particularly in the Mission Bay/Dogpatch area. We looked at several other venues that require you to bring in everything (tables, chairs, linens, etc.) -- which has both a monetary cost, and a vendor management time/cost. The MBCC crew makes it easy -- all of the basics are part of the standard offering, allowing us to focus on making our daughter's Bat Mitzvah unique.
