Log Cabin at the Presidio

My wedding at The Log Cabin in 2024 was nothing short of magical. The venue exudes a charming rustic vibe with its beautiful wooden beams and stunning views of the surrounding greenery. Right when we stepped in we were captivated by its warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect backdrop for our special day. The natural light streaming in created a cozy yet elegant ambiance- our guests couldn’t stop raving about how breathtaking the venue was.

The staff at The Log Cabin were absolutely incredible, ensuring everything went off without a hitch. They were attentive and friendly, which made the planning process a breeze. The food was exceptional. Our day was filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories, and I can’t recommend The Log Cabin at The Presidio enough for anyone looking for a beautiful venue with a laid-back yet classy vibe.

The location and venue are beautiful, the staff is so kind and helpful with the entire process and managing the event, the food is delicious, their preferred vendors are excellent, they are very flexible in letting you customize the event to your vision and it was definitely a great value for the cost. So happy with everything!

We just had our wedding at The Log Cabin! The planning experience with the Wedgewood crew was so painless and easy, I'd highly recommend it for anyone that wants a stress-free wedding planning experience. The entire team is incredibly responsive and knowledgeable, and all of our planning meeting were a breeze. We worked primarily with Jimmy, who ended up being our coordinator the day of, and everything was executed so well -- and he handled a snafu with one of our outside vendors (who was 40 minutes late!) so gracefully, helping us shuffle the timeline at the last minute and making it possible for us to enjoy our time with our guests without having to worry about it at all.

The Log Cabin as a venue is beautifully warm and intimate, which was exactly what we were looking for... and the peekaboo view of the Golden Gate bridge was absolutely breathtaking in our photos. We had about 90 guests and it was the perfect size for us. We did the Elite package, which comes with basically everything you need for a flawless wedding day (centerpieces, catering, open bar, DJ, photobooth, linen -- literally almost everything!) but they also have other package options if you wanted to bring in your own vendors. The Wedgewood provided vendors were all great - Mazettis provided the cake, Angella Florals did an amazing job on the centerpieces (and we added bouquets / arch florals directly with her), DJ Mike from iMobileDJs also crushed it and was a great emcee for our day. We also got multiple comments from our guests that they loved the food, which is the thing we were the most unsure about heading into the day, and the prime rib carving station that came with the Elite package was an absolute hit.

The Wedgewood team knows what they're doing - it was such an organized and stress free process. My partner and I continue reflecting on how perfectly the day went, and that wouldn't have been possible without the Wedgewood team!

It truly was a pleasure working with the staff at the Log Cabin. All my questions about vendors and due dates were answered very promptly- even in a Sunday. Very responsive and guided me / us through the unknown territory of making important wedding decisions.
Everything went so very smoothly on the wedding day. It was nonstop!! But fabulous!! Our guests are *still* talking about how much fun they had as well as the intimate venue, delicious foods, and drinks! ‘Thank you’ really isn’t large enough of a phrase to Duckie and Jimmy. You guys made our day truly unforgettable and perfect.

Highly recommend Wedgewood and the location at Log Cabin was a dream. if you are looking for a cozy venue to house your most intimate guests and like the stress free process of wedding planning, this is the one to go. Staff are very professional and responsive from start to finish, and allowed customization with no pressure to up-sell any Wedgewood affiliated vendors throughout the process.

We had a great experience from start to finish at the Log Cabin for our wedding. From the moment we walked in, we knew this was the right place for us. Fancy, but down to earth. The entire team was supportive in enabling us to create the exact feeling that we wanted for our wedding. They walked us through all the permutations and gave us the space to create the vibes of love and happiness that we desired. We can't imagine a better experience, it was truly wonderful. We would give it ten stars if we could!

The log cabin was absolutely beautiful at night. The view behind the big window is unbelievable and amazing scenery is all around. I was able to transform the log cabin into a winter wonderland, and my guests couldn't stop raving about the place, and asking me where I found the place at. Most people have no idea this place even exists, which makes it extra special!

We had our reception at the Log Cabin and the staff was fantastic!!! I planned the wedding from Houston, and they were very accommodating. The only thing I would have liked to change would be to get into the space earlier to set up and decorate. \r\n\r\nAgree with other posters that the bathrooms are small and right in front of the dance floor. We hid them with folding screens and it turned out perfectly. I will post a couple of photos of the space on the boards.

The staff at the Log Cabin are the best - they respond quickly, they let you know when they'll be out of town, they will do a walk-through with you at any time and several times, and they are very easy to work with. The space is enourmous indoors and outdoors with a great view of SanFrancisco. The dance floors is also the biggest I've found (and you don't have to rent it separately). The bathrooms aren't that great - they are tiny and very old. But that didn't really matter to me.

Because they book a lot of events other than weddings at this location, you may not get a rehearsal here the day before your wedding. I almost didn't, but they were nice enough to squeeze in one hour for me. You don't find out if you get the venue for a rehearsal the day before until one month before your wedding. So if a rehearsal is absolutely mandatory, I would proceed with caution.

As far as the value, you can bring your own alcohol and liquor - which cuts costs - that was why we selected this venue. However, I gave them 3 stars because there are a lot of rules you have to deal with. Because it's in the Presidio, it's government property and there are rules. For example, all vendors have to provide licenses and insruance, you have to purchase insurance, you can't poke holes in the grass, alcohol has to be served by a bartender with a liquor license, the music has to be off by 11pm, etc.

We were very happy with the venue for our wedding!
