Mingo Photography is awesome. It was a very informal event--a medium-sized wedding (about 200 people). The photos turned out as beautiful as those in the wedding magazines. Mingo was able to capture everything in a way that made it look probably better than it did in person, while capturing the reality of the moment. The pictures were amazingly clear and beautiful and lighting was perfect. We hired Mingo as our wedding/engagement photographer and he was excellent. Mingo is extremely reliable, professional, responsive, punctual and pleasant to work with. He has a good work ethic and I could tell that he wants to do his best to make his clients happy. He takes direction very well, and is open to any ideas that you may have and will try to work with you to develop an idea you have into reality. However, He also works well without any direction and can figure out your photography style through his interactions with you. I gave him very little direction because I honestly didn't have a huge idea of what I wanted, but when I received the photos, I saw that they were exactly what I was looking for. Rather than more artsy staged photos, I was looking for more of a photojournalistic style, which Mingo understood. He also helped us stage a few photos too and gave us gentle guidance on how to look and what to do to make the picture look its best. I am not great in front of the camera, and neither is my husband, but he worked diligently on us to make us look our best! He also took photos at our reception, and he was great there. He interacted well with all our guests and was well received. Mingo is flexible and willing to work with you to tailor a package that's right for you. When I contacted him to ask his about packages and pricing, he was very responsive and helpful via email and phone. His responsiveness and professional demeanor instantly put me at ease. The pictures were also delivered promptly after the wedding.

We were hesitant to hire a sub-$1000 photographer for our youngest daughter's wedding. Mingo photography's work is amazing. We hired another photographer two years ago for our eldest daughter's wedding and were charged nearly $3000. I can tell you that Mingo's work was better in every way, hands down.
