Local to Milwaukee, Wisconsin and serving the greater southeastern Wisconsin area, the musical ensemble Milwaukee String Quartet specializes in wedding ceremony and reception music. With over 20 years of industry experience, Milwaukee String Quartet is composed of professional musicians who regularly perform in the various symphonies and chamber ensembles. This musical ensemble is dedicated to customer satisfaction and quick response. We have the experience and passion to create the perfect atmosphere for any special occasion!

Services Offered

Milwaukee String Quartet LLC prefers to perform as a quartet, as we feel that size group allows for the richest and most interesting sound; however, we also perform as a trio, duo, or solo upon request. The standard quartet features two violins, viola and cello but a singer or other instrument can be provided. We are also happy to coordinate with additional musicians of your choice. Milwaukee String Quartet performs both classical and contemporary popular music, featuring an extensive repertoire of hundreds of pieces from both genres. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Milwaukee String Quartet for our wedding at the Grain Exchange. They worked with us to choose our music and they were incredibly flexible with our choices. They were easy to work with, responsive, and they honestly helped to make our ceremony and cocktail hour special.

Gorgeous Music; Executed and Nailed My Dream Aisle Walk!

JoAnn and Milwaukee String Quartet are as amazing as it gets! JoAnn was so communicative by email and nailed my vision for my aisle songs--which included some looping before a crescendo. She created a custom ensemble for me, and even came to our rehearsal to make sure the timing fit. On the day of, the music was absolutely gorgeous and we received a ton of compliments. We are so glad we went with a string quartet for our ceremony, especially Milwaukee String Quartet! Thank you JoAnn and team!

Most Amazing Experience Ever!

The most amazing experience ever. I swear if you have a love for being a princess in fairytale type of wedding, having a string quartet play makes that dream a reality. I was so impressed, and it was even more amazing than expected. JoAnn made sure that we had the best performance, and really took the time to help me plan exactly how I pictured everything. They are beyond talented players, who are very skilled and accommodating to the requests that we had. We talked about the performance for days after, and it was everyone's highlight. If you are looking for an elegant and classy music selection as well as some fun popular songs, I would hire them over any other band or dj. I am so thankful for the atmosphere they were able to provide. The whole thing was a wish come true!

Amazing!

Absolutely amazing. Reasonably priced, extremely nice, and exceeded our expectations. They even learned more songs on the violins then we had asked for to make our ceremony so special. JoAnn was quick to respond and so accommodating. We got so many compliments on them!

Beautiful music!!

The Milwaukee String Quartet was responsive and easy to work with. They gave us ideas and were happy and excited to play the pieces we ultimately chose. I can honestly say that having a quartet elevated the lovely wedding service - thanks to their talents the ceremony was not only beautiful but very memorable!

Milwaukee String Quartet

Joann was very easy to work with. From the start she responded quickly to emails. They have an extensive repertoire of music to choose from. Our daughter and her husband wanted to go more with modern music and they were very accommodating. They were very easy to work with when selecting the music. We received many compliments on the music and it just added a nice touch to the day. I would highly recommend!

Wonderful Group

We used the Milwaukee String Quartet for our wedding cermemony in August. Joann was very responsive and took initiative with communicating with the music director at the church as well. They have a huge repertoire of songs that they are comfortable with, and were even willing to play some non-traditional wedding music, like a beautiful rendition of Raiders of the Lost Arc. We were very much pleased with this group

Fabulous/Outstanding

Outstanding! From initial contact to the day of my daughters ceremony, this group knocked it out of the proverbial “park”. Communication, music selection advice, and coordination with the church was fabulous. The music was absolutely stellar and the professionalism was top tier. We couldn’t have chosen a better group. I have been to many, many, weddings, this group was far and above anything I imagined. I strongly recommend this group without hesitation, and have to friends and family. 10/10! So amazing!

Joann and Erik performed as a duo for our ceremony and cocktail reception. They were able to play all of the songs that we requested, and suggested so many more for us to choose from! We got so many compliments about their great performance and are so happy that we had them as a part of our big day. The process from start to finish was simple and they were so easy to work with. Thank you both again so much for everything!

Highly recommend!!

The Milwaukee String Quartet went above and beyond our expectations. JoAnn was extremely responsive and helpful during the planning process and they created the absolute perfect sound for our ceremony space. We received so many compliments on their sound and are so happy we were able to work with them for our dream wedding! Definitely recommend hiring them for your event!
