Milwaukee Public Market Wedding!

We were over the moon with our reception at the Milwaukee Public Market. The staff went above and beyond. They were so accommodating, helping us through the entire process. We had so many excellent choices for food, flexibility on the layout of the space and help with decorations. The space itself is beautiful with the full length windows overlooking the city and the buzz of the market while the space was still open to the public. It was such an enjoyable experiencing planning this with them. We also received so many compliments from our guests about the staff and the florist raved about them as they helped her take down the flowers later at night. Can’t say enough great things, it was the perfect location to celebrate our wedding!!

Excellent experience!

We loved using the Milwaukee Public Market as our reception venue. Our event coordinator, Ellen, was fantastic to work with. She is so easy going and positive. We HIGHLY recommend the Market! (great food choices from anything in the Market too)

I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding venue! Everything was absolutely incredible- the staff, the location, the support, the decor, THE FOOD!!! They helped with every aspect of the wedding and were so accommodating and knowledgeable. My family and friends from out of town were absolutely amazed to be at a wedding in such a cool location and we were happy to show off this part of Milwaukee!

I'll start my review now and finish it post wedding.

We just booked the venue after many email exchanges, a few visits, and a few times trying various foods offered. After looking at MANY venues in the greater Milwaukee area, it was clear that there was something different about MPM. Anya has been extremely responsive in all communication and has always been prompt and professional in all our visits. I can't wait to see how things progress as we get closer to the wedding!

We chose the Milwaukee Public Market for it's unique look and feel, and because we liked having our wedding in a venue that was personal to us as a couple. We frequently ate at the market and had taken cooking classes there as well. We ran into a scheduling issue with the Market when we were first setting our date, but they handled the situation very promptly and professionally and were able to purpose other date options and offered a discount. The staff was was so helpful and accommodating during the whole process. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to work with. They executed the layout, decorations, and food to a T. The food was also so amazing, we had several guests say it was the best wedding food/ some of the best food they had ever had.

The Milwaukee Public Market was exactly what my husband and I were looking for when looking for a venue. We love that all of the food is made in house and is from all of the vendors inside the Public Market. All of our guests stated it was the best food that they ever had at a wedding. Ellen, Jan, Katie and the MPM set everything up perfectly and were very patient with my overly involved Mother. I wold recommend this location to any one!

We were looking for something different in downtown Milwaukee and the price to rent the Milwaukee Public Market was the best value we found. Be aware that they do have some extra service fees that are not included in the rental cost, but are added on later. The food far exceeded my expectations and so many guests told us how delicious everything was. Ellen, Jan, Katie, and the whole team set up all decor and perfectly captured my vision - there were so many details captured in photos that I didn't realize during the wedding but made the photos after! The next day all we had to do was stop in and pick up anything we wanted to save - such a value considering all of our guests traveled in for the event.

I chose MPM for my reception for the amount of options, the free parking, beautiful location and proximity to my family. The wedding went well and overall, I was quite satisfied.

I had to deal with three different wedding planners over a 6 month period. The first one showed me tons of pics and painted a great picture of what my reception DID look like. I put the money down because of the options that were listed.

Two options that were important to me were a tasting and a shuttle. I was excited when she suggested the tasting and said we could use their shuttle for $100 per hour. Within 3 months of the wedding, I ended up with a new planner who was the manager of the events.

I was upset because I was given these options without restriction back in the winter! She ended up caving in on the tasting, so we got it for nothing. The shuttle, after several calls to the insurance company, was canceled. $100 per hour to only travel 1 mile between the ceremony and reception... was ridiculous. The tasting, went perfect! AMAZING!

In the last days prior to our wedding, I got an email from yet another planner, stating that my second planner had a personal issue. This wasn't really a problem even though the new planner wasn't prepared with 6 months of correspondence from 2 other planners. She bumped our dinner from 6:30-7pm, which didn't seem to bother anyone.

Overall, I would recommend the public market. It was beautiful, and executed with taste. The decor was gorgeous!!! All the decorations were included in the $850 rental (no minimum)!!! The food was delicious. My only real negative with food/drink was that the wine is only sold by the glass. Definitely recommend!

The price to rent the Milwaukee Public Market was the best value we found in downtown Milwaukee without being in a hotel. We were told by multiple guests that the food was the best they've ever had at a wedding. I definitely suggest the stuffed pork tenderloin and roasted vegetables! Ellen and her crew set everything up for us exactly how we wanted it. They even provided some of the decor (Votives, paper lanterns and stringed lights) free of charge. The next day all we had to do was stop in and pick up anything we wanted to save.
