Facilities and Capacity
Each of Milltown Historic District’s three venues invites couples and guests to explore the natural beauty of the surrounding city and landscape. The River Venue seats up to 200 guests for a couple’s wedding. Ceremonies can take place on the grassy lawn on the bank of the Guadalupe River. The country chic banquet hall space features a large deck overlooking the river and a room with floor-to-ceiling windows. The polished wood and natural stone add to the outdoorsy atmosphere of this venue. The Grande is a ballroom that seats up to 175 guests on the day of the couple’s wedding. The ballroom, with high ceilings and sparkling chandeliers, can be setup for a ceremony or reception. Outdoor ceremonies can take place beneath the shelter of a charming white gazebo. This ballroom also has a grand staircase, hardwood floors and a covered courtyard that's styled after the French Quarter. The Gallery is the smallest event space, seating up to 75 guests. It too has an outdoor ceremony space in the landscaped courtyard with a stone arch. Located inside a renovated 1920 General Store, this space retains all the charm of its former facility.
Couples will find many of the same services at all three Milltown Historic District event locations. These services include:
This venue includes five restored cabins, originally built in the 1960s. All five cabins are within walking distance to the three venues and serve dually as overnight accommodations and unique bridal suites. The Honeymoon Suite and The River Cabin are each traditional brown wooden cabins. They sleep four and 15 people respectively. The Muster Haus cabin has yellow siding; The Blue Haus cabin boasts blue siding, and The Tan Haus cabin features tan siding. These three cabins sleep between four and seven guests.

Dont be afraid to call and ask questions! It looked like it was going to rain for our wedding and I was extremely worried because the river venue is GORGEOUS for an outside wedding. I was calling probably 2 times a day the week before the wedding. Vanessa was always extremely nice and assured me if it had to be indoors, there was plenty of space. Luckily the rain stopped the day before and it was perfect for an outdoor ceremony. The bartender through them was great. Brandon was extremely attentive and gave me his cell number for anything I needed through our the day. I was at my hair and make up appointment when my dj came and he needed a few tables so I just texted Brandon and he took care of it! I couldn't have asked for a better location or staff!! The venue is beautiful, you dont have to use many decorations and the natural light that came in for the reception just set an amazing mood.Sent on 04/09/2018

Wow! What can I say other than we loved getting married here?? It was such a cozy venue, and so beautiful that you don't even need extravagant decorations to make it a wonderful wedding (even though we did kind of go overboard on the flowers and let me just say... it was magical). We chose the River Venue, which was perfect to accommodate our high guest count. It was also a perfect option if you want an outdoor wedding, but are worried about it raining-- because that's exactly what happened on our wedding day! It started to rain 30 minutes prior to the ceremony, and we were so worried that we were going to have to do the wedding inside (which is totally doable, because the reception venue is a stair-climb away from where the guests are normally seated). Luckily, the rain showed signs of stopping and my wonderfully adventurous husband and family decided "Let's go for it!" The great thing about it was that friends and family who didn't want to risk being caught in the mud and rain just watched the ceremony from the reception hall patio! It was actually quite beautiful and I'm glad it happened that way... the guests that watched from above then threw buckets of rose petals down on us when we kissed and walked back down the aisle, which is like... totally movie-worthy, don't you think? I say the River Venue is the way to go, because they even include the River Cabin, a 16-sleeper cabin, steps away from the venue. It's the perfect place for the after-party, even though my new husband and I were so exhausted after the day we never even made it over there. I heard everyone else had a great time though:) The Bridal/Honeymoon suite is also gorgeous!! It was a truly effortless and wonderful wedding, and I thank the wonderful Milltown ownership and staff for making sure everything ran smoothly up until the day, and for being so flexible with us the entire time through. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to have a seamless and magical day.Sent on 07/14/2017

We loved having our wedding here! We had our reception in The Gallery and our ceremony on the Faust St Bridge. Although I think you can no longer use the bridge, the setting was absolutely beautiful and definitely sold us on the property. If you are having a smaller wedding, you know how hard it is to find a venue that is made for a smaller group of people! The price was really reasonable as well. Stephanie was an absolute breeze to work with, was super responsive to all of my emails and phone calls, and was so sweet on our big day. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! We didn't use any of the in-house services, so I can't speak to those. As a venue though, you can't go wrong with Milltown! All of our guests raved about it too.Sent on 05/21/2017
Milltown is such a perfect location. On the river, a historic building, and an amazing staff, what more can you ask for from your wedding venue! Michelle and staff are the sweetest! We love to cater their events and recommend them all the time. Milltown is a beautiful space to share your special day!
Milltown is one of new favorite venues to work at. Getting married right on the river on a beautiful sunny day can't be beat!
I took photos of a bride and groom here and it was beautiful. The owners are wonderful and the place is gorgeous. The bride and groom were very happy with this venue! I cant wait to do photos here again. :)
