Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and surrounded by natural beauty, Millcreek Inn is a picturesque wedding venue. The inn was first built in the 1950s and has been hosting milestone events since 1999. Offering a setting for mountain celebrations, it is still conveniently located within 20 minutes of downtown Salt Lake City. For added convenience, guests from out-of-town can fly into the nearby Salt Lake City International Airport. Owner Sina Moatamed inherited this property from his brother in 2015 and strives to continue his legacy of hosting unforgettable events. Couples can host their engagement party and rehearsal dinner here, as well as their ceremony and reception.
Facilities and Capacity
Millcreek Inn accommodates weddings with a maximum of 300 guests, and it also welcomes more intimate gatherings. It is a private venue, adding an air of exclusivity to the one event it hosts per day. Included in the venue area are four event spaces, both indoor and outdoor. The patio for outdoor wedding ceremonies is enhanced by the majestic peaks and cliffs of the surrounding canyon, alongside lovingly manicured gardens. This picturesque backdrop is complemented by a rustic bar and flagstone verandas. This outdoor setting can be made more comfortable for the winter months with a tent and outdoor heaters. A section of the patio is reserved for music and dancing. Before reaching the indoor banquet halls, guests enter through a cozy pre-function area that has comfortable seating, a fireplace, and a convenient bar. The event spaces are softly illuminated by wall sconces, highlighting the rustic wooden beams and large fireplaces. Combined, the banquet halls can accommodate up to 75 people. Couples can rent all of the event spaces, including the patio and the halls' outdoor seating area, to seat up to 300 loved ones.
Weddings at Millcreek Inn are enhanced by the plentiful amenities offered by the events team. Coordination services are offered by the events team, while the cuisine is supplied by the talented in-house chef and their team. To-be-weds can choose from a number of creative menus or design their own from scratch. Servers are available to help the meal run smoothly Event rental items are also available, including seating, round tables, lighting, and sound equipment. The patio is outfitted with a seven-foot wooden arbor that can be further decorated with flowers and draping to frame your magical moment.

Hannah is the Event and Service Manager at Millcreek Inn. She is a native to northern Utah and has been in the event industry since she was 22. She fell in love with the exhilaration of being an event planner right away. After working just one event, she knew this was the career path for her.
Hannah received her degree in Public Relations with a focus on event planning from Utah State University. Previously, she worked at Walt Disney World in Florida through their college program. It was there she learned about the importance of service and doing all you can to give every individual the best experience possible. She firmly believes in making each wedding unique and special. Hannah always goes the extra mile to be sure the couple’s personalities shine through their event. When not planning weddings, Hannah enjoys spending time with her dogs, whether it be hiking in the mountains or cuddling on the couch with them.
Keijah Imboden has been working in the service industry for 10+ years and became involved with private events 6 years ago. She found that she had a knack for event planning and wanted to keep moving forward in the industry. Keijah started at Millcreek Inn in June of 2020 as a server/bartender and quickly excelled. Her love of serving combined with her talent for planning made her the perfect fit for a Coordinator here at Millcreek Inn.
When Keijah is not coordinating picture perfect events she can be found spending time with her pets, working in her garden, or watching a good crime documentary.
A student of the Culinary Institute of the Arts in New York City, Valenzuela is well recognized for his inventive use of ingredients, presentation, and flavor. Chef Valenzuela combines fresh ingredients with modern, traditional and ethnic flare. He will customize your function to embody your culinary desires.
His deep appreciation for continental cuisine was developed at a young age. He was born in Guadalajara Jalisco Mexico, grew up in California and the Salt Lake City area, where he was exposed to a variety of food that would fuel his lifelong passion for cooking. Working and studying the nuances of both French and Classic American cuisine, he began his culinary career at the age of 19. Cooking in some of the best restaurants is the USA with great chefs. From the well-known restaurant, Stein Erickson Lodge located at the peak of Deer Valley in Salt Lake City to Pelham Country Club located in New York City, for the past 20 plus years, Chef Valenzuela has continued to refine his craft. His work is central to every meal he produces. His passion for cooking gives everything that extra ounce of deliciousness. When he is not cooking at work, you will find him cooking with his young daughters and wife. He also enjoys bicycling, hiking, and fishing.

When my friends and clients ask for a venue that is outdoors and elegant, Millcreek Inn is one of the first that comes to mind. Not too far up the canyon and easily accessible, just far enough to drown out the city noise and view. The in-house chef is amazing and the food is fabulous. The staff are attentive and events always run smoothly.
I love working with Tina and her staff at Millcreek Inn! They are amazing to work with, always thorough and go above and beyond to meet their clients and guests' expectations. I've DJ'd more than 30 weddings there over the years, and each one has been a fun, elegant and stress-free experience. The views from their outdoor patio are simply stunning!
