Michael played for our wedding and reception in Newport Beach last year. From the first time we contacted Michael it was clear we were dealing with a pro. He helped us pick the perfect music for our ceremony and even put together an original arrangement for us of a song that we specifically requested. Michael played solo for our ceremony, cocktail hour and the reception! He was able to pick songs that were perfect for the moment and then he took requests from our guests. Michael was also comfortable acting as an MC for us (as a last-minute request).

We had a rooftop ceremony and reception overlooking the ocean and we were not able to hire a full band. As the reception went on Michael could see that our guests (80 of them) were in the mood to dance so he kicked in as a “one-man-band” and even dig some beat-boxing. Michael had the entire party up dancing and it was the highlight of the evening for everyone! Everyone was amazed that Michael could play any type of music and we decided to ask him to play for extra time – which he was happy to do!

I highly recommend Michael to anyone! We did not miss having a band and were glad that we didn’t hire a DJ for the small space we were working with. Michael is a pleasure to work with and extremely personable and since the wedding, we have continued to follow him and go to his local shows!

Last May, I was able to attend my good friend Gary Apmadoc's wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony that definitely wouldn't have been the same without this great band! They played all over the place it seemed like. They had three or four separate groups scattered throughout the day with a full band later in the evening. It was a blast! My wife and I were up dancing all night, and we aren't much of the dancing type. These guys are great!

If you’re looking for a band to cover all the bases, these guys are the right choice! We had live guitar and piano for our ceremony, and then they moved out to play with a trio for cocktails. When we got to the reception, they now had turned in to a five piece band with keyboards, guitars, and even a sax player! They made our whole special day even better. Besides how great they were in their performance, they’re all really easy to work with. Hire Waves of Ages!

We hired Michael to play for our wedding in 2019. We couldn’t have been more pleased with Michael! He played for 5 hours in total and kept us, and our guests, entertained all night. We were having trouble deciding on songs for our ceremony so Michael spent a lot of time with us making suggestions and even offered to put together an original acoustic arrangement of one of our favorite songs. Michael was very personable and attentive to all of our needs as a couple. He set our minds at ease instantly.

The ceremony music was perfect and then we ended up asking Michael to extend the time for the reception because everyone was having such a great time both listening and singing along. The wasn’t a lot of space at the venue so we had thought the reception would end early but when Michael started playing drum beats of his guitar we had everyone dancing around the tables and singing along. Such a memorable reception for everyone and Michael was definitely the highlight!

Last summer, Michael played for our reception at a winery in Temecula, CA!  We originally had a small destination wedding and then hired Michael to play for our family and friends when we returned to California.  Michael learned three special songs for us and then played from his extensive selection of music for the remainder of the reception.  It was exactly what we were looking for!  After the reception was over Michael even stayed and entertained a close group of friends and family around a giant campfire and played requests as we sipped on amazing wine and shared stories – it was an extremely special moment we will never forget!  Michael clearly love to be part of these special moments and we highly recommend him!

My wife and I attended our good friend’s wedding in Temecula, CA and were extemely impressed with Michael.  Michael played a wide range of songs that everyone enjoyed, making the atmosphere perfect!  He was very personable and took song requests from the guests.  Michael played several songs as a one-man-band and did some entertaining things playing beats on his guitar so that it sounded like a whole band.  This worked well for that time in the reception when a bunch of us wanted to dance!  He played a version of Up Town Funk where he did some beat boxing and had everyone up dancing – super fun.  I’ve never seen anything like this before.   We were very impressed and are sad that we don’t live California so we could go to some of his shows!

My wife and I had Michael’s acoustic trio play for our wedding last summer. Michael spent hours with us, helping us pick the perfect songs “beach vibe” songs for our ceremony and reception. Michael even worked with his trio to put together a special arrangement for our first dance on the sand. The wedding was on the beach in Laguna. We love Jack Johnson, and Michael has a similar voice. Our guests commented that it felt like we had Jack Johnson covering a selections of songs – it was perfect! I highly recommend Michael and his acoustic trio for any couple planning a wedding on the beach!

We hired Michael to perform for our engagement party in October at our home in Laguna Beach.  Michael played music for 3 hours and it couldn’t have been better!  Michael arrived early and setup in a small space in the back yard.  Michael was playing as guests arrived and our guests couldn’t stop complementing on the music.  He took requests and played every genre of music you can imagine!  He was very easy to work with and went above and beyond to make our party a huge success!  He was the highlight of the evening for everyone and I highly recommend him to anyone!  

We have already booked him and his band for our wedding this year and are looking forward to it

We hired Michael’s five piece band “WAVES of AGES” to play for our wedding reception.  This band brings it!  They can play anything.  The band had everyone up dancing the entire reception.  They played pop, country, R&B, Classic Rock, you name it.  We had over 300 guests of all ages and everyone was entertained – young and old.  

Michael took special requests and had the band learn songs for the first dances and he was also happy to act as MC for use during the reception which was an added bonus.  I would highly recommend Michael and his band to anyone looking for amazing music!
